Turn 1: Forest Turn 2: Forest + Nest Invader. Turn 3: Land + Vengevine, eats a Lightning Bolt. Turn 4: Land + Bloodbraid Elf, cascade into creature to bring bolted Vengevine back from the grave, swing.
Also, with this strategy there are more creatures for BBE to cascade into, and therefore more chances to get a Vengevine recursion with BBE.

Who's a cute little Eldrazi? You are! Who's the best common in this set? That's right, you are! Coochie, coochie, coo!

Take that gatekeeper of malakir! This card is easily 5/5, because its exactly what green wants, a token creation paired with mana increase on a 2 mana creature. It really doesn't get much better than that for green. Besides, think about how great this card is when you top deck it. Late game you need to block two creatures to not die, smack this down, and you get an instant two chump blockers. You can also with 4 mana, play this, then sac. the token immediately to regain a mana, and then cast growth spasm on the spot. Also, obviously good with brood birthing.

What more could you want for (1G), you get a 2/2 and a 0/1 meat shield that sacs to add (1). 5/5 from me.

Very strong 2/2 beater that throws down an extra little guy to either block or accelerate your mana. Blam.
The art is cool as well, which is a nice bonus :D

Turn 1: Forest +Joraga Treespeaker Turn 2: Mountain, pump Joraga, tap for GG, cast Nest Invader Turn 3: Mountain, tap Joraga, Brood Birthingx2, sac all 7 tokens, tap forest, play Eldrazi Con***ion on nest invader. Swing 12/12 trample, Annhihilation 2 on turn three... I was lucky enough to pull this off once. I don't expect to see this often, especially since you can't see all the cards with your opening hand.

Just might nudge out Putrid Leech in Jund's 2 cost slot. This means a turn three Bloodbraid! In Jund, I will always use this over Putrid Leech. 5/5

I'm pretty confident that there are going to be a very select few Green constructed decks that don't throw this guy in there.
And, for that select few who don't throw in a mana/token producing 2/2 creature for the low cost of 2 mana, SHAME ON YOU!

The drone most likely to see Constructed play (well, after Spike Drone). A fully viable alternative to Rampant Growth and Explore in the two-mana-ramp slot.

The elf won't work-cascade makes you PLAY the card, not cast it. Vengevine requires 2 creature CASTs.

it's good but nowhere near 5 stars. vendetta is a better common in rise. yet this is rated higher then gush, kodama's reach, armadillo cloak, and even blightning. something is wrong with you people. it is solid and decent but not great.
Excellent 2 drop for my Hellion Eruption deck. Helps start early beatings while keeping a chump blocker just in case.

One of the most horrifying things I can imagine is this guy on second turn, with a Windbrisk Heights dropped. If you had a first turn creature, or a 3rd turn haste creature. Bring that card out!
If its Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, play it & take an EXTRA TURN. Annihilator 6 with a 15/15 trampler on what boils down to third turn. I'd say that qualifies as horrifying.
Also works for Progenitus, or any other obscene card you may want to not hardcast.

No one remembers that it's Bed INTRUDER, not invader. (Not even me. I still hum the song whenever I throw him down.)
Anyway, super useful in standard. I love using spawn to chump block Wurmcoil Engine, then saccing it to negate lifelink. Plus it gives monogreen something to block Sword of Body and Mind and Mirran Crusader. It's a shame this thing is too set-specific to be reprinted.
A final note: I always thought this thing was an adorable dog-sized creature, judging by the size of that log. But look at the bottom left corner of the picture; that's a human skull. The Invader looks to be significantly bigger than an elephant.

In all honesty this is tied with Emrakul for being the best eldrazi. This thing just has so many uses. I run 4 in my jund deck as he allows for turn 3 bloodbraid elf orgarruk wildspeaker and on top of that the token can be used to wield umezawa's jitte or sacrifice it or its token to sarkhan the mad if I'm out of other options.

I like it, but unfortunately it won't work with my mass polymorph concept. Need to produce creatures to polymorph that don't come from other creature spells.

It's a bear that makes...a baby bear?
With a little help from a certain Broodwarder, that little baby bear could grow up to be a big bear of its own. How cute.

This wasn't even the only "strictly better than Grizzly Bears" card from this set. Though I definitely feel Nest Invader is superior in most situations, you should take a look at Beastbreaker of Bala Ged.

Enable a 4MC Card (Or higher, considering you are playing green) on T3,
Provide a Chump blocker and a beater,
Be a general BA.
Oh, and it's little spawn totally looks like a houndeye from half-life.
