Orthos wannabe in white.

One of the less useful invokers, but still better than the black one. At least this card's ability can be a game ender, unlike a mere drain 3 effect for 8 mana.

Can be a game ender? If I've got a 2/1 flier on the table for 5+ turns before I activate her, she had better be a game ender. Rock solid card.

Funny if you had eight mana to spare and you tap your oppoenets creatures before their combat step. He/SHe would be tearing their hairs off.

Arguably the meanest of the cycle.

Once you get to 8 mana, you probably don't need to do much else :P

She is really a mean little creature. I got my ass kicked at the prerelease from a player who always had 8 mana open to tap my creatures at the beginning of combat. So not having any removal in my hand I had to watch how my life total slowly got drain from his littel flyers.

This is absolutely brutal. It's expensive and easy to take care of, but if it weren't for that, it would be a fantastically aggressive card.

"Less useful"? In Eldrazi Limited, this is incredible! My prerelease deck used 2 of these, and I mopped the floor with my green eldrazi ramp opponents. It didn't matter what they got out, I just tapped everything during their turn and swung out every turn. It completely defeated most of the decks that people were running, with lots of defender cards until their Level up cards and Eldrazi could start stomping.

This card combos off really well with Bear Umbra. A friend of had this combo going with 8 lands and just kept destroying his opponents.

whats with all the extremely expensive spells and abilities???

this won me a lot of games at the pre-release. green/white control, tapped the other guy out right before his combat step and swung with a pelakka wurm. shuts eldrazi right down. best of the invoker cycle I'd say.

Incredibly powerful in limited. Game winner when the owner hits 8.

I keep hearing how powerful this card is, but we already have reality spasm and lorthos.. Lorthos, the tide maker is almost the same card (if not better) in blue, in the sense that it costs the same amount to use and is a huge creature and can tap any permanent vs. only creatures. Does this mean lorthos was critically underrated and is sort of dawnglare invoker prototype?

Having said all that, she's actually really easy to get rid of, basically any removal or linvala to shut down her ability. Note that she combos very well with sleep, bear umbra, nature's will, dichotomancy, and especially stoic angel.

Reality spasm, permafrost trap, sleep, stoic angel, and dawnglare invoker ftw?

It's silly when both players have one, and eight mana. Card is win, and flying pwns in ROE limited.

I love this card. Works wonders when you get the mana and your opponent is relying on a creature-heavy deck. I almost beat my roommate's nigh-unstoppable 5-color dragon deck until he finally got to attack. Why? Because he didn't know non-active players get a chance to play or activate spells before the combat phase begins. Moral of the story: know Magic's rules so your friends don't screw your deck over in their ignorance.

Why not "tap all creatures your opponents control" ???

Excellent win condition once you get to 8, and a 2 power flier for 3 isn't terrible before then. I put a Whispersilk Cloak on her just before my friend's Eldrazi deck could kill her and snuck in a win under the wire. She makes facing down multiple Pathrazers of Ulamog much less scary.

Hmmm, I have this card (just one) and have been playing it in my mono-white, but she always gets destroyed or removed before I can use it. Buffing her up with some defense and shroud might make her survive until she can be used.

Earlier in the game, it's a white Gloomhunter, later it prevents fatties from destroying you! Can't say it'll be bolt bait or worth removing until later in the game.

A bit expensive to activate but quite lethal for your opponent if done.
This and Peacekeeper destroy every monogreen player's desire to play.

This girl has become my favorite common in the set. 2 power in the air for 3 is fine in itself, and her ability is a game winner. She is responsible for a lot of my RoE draft wins, and winning with her is very satisfying.

Tonight, I had her ability going, but my opponent drew a burn spell and killed her. I brought her right back with artisan of kozilek (my favorite uncommon in RoE). He just scooped. Best victory ever.

This card somehow allows me to stack more and more creatures on the field. And I don't know why.

This card combines well with white and green creature decks. Definitely a keeper.

Step 1: Ramp to 8.
Step 2: Tap all your opponent's creatures during their turn.
Step 3: Sunblast Angel.

Seems good, until you realize that you can just keep on acivating it during your opponent's upkeep, essentially shutting down all their creatures permanently. Probably one of the best commons in the set.

Won me a fair share of games at the prerelease. This thing is a bomb in limited, no doubt ... would certainly be hilarious with a couple of Training Grounds on the battlefield.

just witnessed a battle where each player had this card on the battlefield and 8 mana... they were at a standstill for like 10 turns, since they kept tapping on the other person's turn right before they attacked. It finally ended when one of them finally drew a Journey to Nowhere!

Fair enough, she dies easily to any form of removal.

Oh! but look at that, it takes exactly 7 Plains to activate Emeria, the Sky Ruin's triggered ability. So you can fetch her back every turn when she is able to win you the game? Fun!

Its fun to play this card and build a deck around it. If they don't have any way to get rid of her then its game over most of the time. Put shroud on her and she can stick around until you get the 8 mana.

Does anyone realize that the flavor text is a reference to Emrakul, Ulamog, and Kozilek?

@marmar
Wow, you're right. That is like a flavor volcano. Zendikains (?) once knew of the three Eldrazi gods and, from the looks of the names, honored or worshiped them. Then as time pasted, legends of their destructive powers faded as they became tradition.

Wasn't it the merfolk that worshiped those three names? I know there was Cosi's Trickster and Quest for Ula's Temple but everything Emeria is White and Angel based. :-/

This isn't Rare?
I understand that people would find it preposterous that a card with that Power/Toughness is rare, but that ability is a little bit too awesome for some simple commoner.
What, is it every day that you see ONE card tap ALL creatures an opponent controls? And for only a 3 CMC?
I think Gigantomancer should take a page out of the Invoker's book and not be rare. Or have an 8 CMC.

Regardless of rarity, this card goes AMAZINGLY well with Gideon's Avenger, Gideon Jura, and as well as Royal Assassin. Just imagine the Avenger getting like 8x 1+/1+ counters on it.

That'll work, right?

I pulled a foil one of these the other day, and it's amazingly useful once you get enough mana.

For a mere eight mana, Dawnglare Invoker completely shuts down your opponent's Spawnsire of Ulamog-generated Eldrazi army of stompy doom. Not sure why they were even worried about the Eldrazi with her around, really :p
