This card is truely great a 5/5 for 4 what more can you ask for. You say its uncounterable and it makes other big creatures uncounterable. That is truely awesome. As an advid control player i hope we dont seem more of these.

this is awesome... the last great 5/5 for 4 mana was... juzam djinn... and this has a bonus attached to it and not a downer! amazing..

This guy gives Rumbling Slum a run for its money, and I can see arguments for which is better going either way. A nightmare for blue countermagic, and a big body at discount too.

personaly i wouldent main bord this card ied proly side 3 of them just incase there is a counter deck but the whole 5/5 for 4 its ok but theres a 5/4 for 3 ied rather play and if u play a good the one deck ied play him for most of all is a dragon deck to back up guys like hellkite overlord and sutch but personaly hes not the greatest in the world if ur worried about counter spells then yea just sidebord him its all about 2 out of 3 matches anyways so first game is always to scout out the deck 2nd game is when it is acualy important

very good card, no real downside except gold, 4 mana for a 5/5 is never bad, I would run 2 in a deck as I want the full range of 5 power effects (trample, first strike, vigilance and indestructable) and will also need some mana accel for godsire

This card is pretty bad. Although the mana cost compared with power/toughness is decent, its effect is absolutely useless. "Uncounterable" doesn't mean "indestructible". In serious pro leagues, no one is going to run more counterspells other than Cryptic Commmands and maybe some Negates. No one is going to waste a Cryptic Command on a creature like this. With no haste, all they have to do is Boomerang, Terror, or Celestial Purge it next turn. The card is meant as a counter against control decks for Naya decks. But 5CC has tons more ways of dealing with creatures like this. Not mentioning Jund or Grixis will take care of this with no trouble. Terminate, Doom blade, Deathmark will suffice. if you are looking for a cheap, big creature for your Naya deck, might as well go for Woolly Thoctar.

Having {R}{R}{G}{G} would make more sense for the 5/5 multicolored, but that's the color green for you. Overpowered maybe, but an overpower that makes sense. *cough Baneslayer Angel cough*

You're missing the point of this card. Ignore the ability and focus on the p/t and cc. Five power for four mana is absolutely incredible, and every card with this combination so far has had some kind of lame drawback. This is the first 5 for 4 creature with no drawback, and if that weren't enough, it actually gives you a bonus. Even though the ability won't be very useful most of the time, the few times it will be useful are clutch.

Truthfully, I think its the combination of the big power for only 4 mana, and the ability combined that make it worth it. I already have a spearbreaker behemoth, so.. if I play these two together.. hmmm..
Play spellbreaker first to make all my 5+ naya creatures uncounterable, then play spearbreaker a turn or two later for indestructibility to all my 5+ creatures.. woot! I'd play it if for no other reason than the only cards that grant the uncounterable affect are few and far between, and usually sorceries or enchantments like leyline of life force, at least this way I can get a creature out of it too, since green needs creatures on the board to do anything (can't use titanic ultimatum for any good with no creatures to use it on and etc etc).

@ Douchette: Not all cards are designed to compete against pro jund decks. This card is amazing for 4 CMC, and it basically shuts down control. Removal's really not that big of deal. There's some anti-removal cards out there. Silence, Vines of Vastwood, Narrow Escape, if you ran 4 of each of those, you'd have 12 spells for counter-removal. (Though obviously the Silence would have to be cast on opponent's upkeep)
I'm mainboarding him in my beast deck and he works great. I have thoctars in there too, and Spearbreaker Behemoth which IS indestructible. 4 mana for 5/5 is amazing. Blue decks run and hide when they see this thing.

He has no downside. He's also way above the curve... Why isn't anyone playing this?
Sure, it can be destroyed by pinpoint removal, but so what? He's HUGE. The only thing this guy doesn't have in his favor is that it isn't automatic card advantage.

Its a good creature. Admittedly he can be Unsummoned easily, but it will just keep coming back the next turn. Its easy enough to give him haste.

Man i remember the day when 4/4 was CMC 4 with a drawback (Enslaved Horror)(U). All these obsoleted cards that will never see play again.
@EnV: you know what, Baneslayer Angel can be killed by those spells too, I don't see why people are not hating on it.
to sum everything up, this card's upsides: 1.low cmc for a highpowered body (you're playing green obviously so you don't need to worry much about the colors) 2.a global effect for ALL your fatties 3. it itself can't be prevented to come into play
downsides: 1. dies easily to removal (lol, that's why green has cards like Vines of Vastwood, Canopy Cover, etc.) 2. you need 2 green and a red to summon it (lol again since you're green, you have cards like Rampant Growth and Harrow)
tl;dr it's a decent card that neutralizes counterspells nothing more nothing less
P.S. I really think "pro" players should leave card commenting to those who make their own decks...

the downside is that, given a few more years, even this card will be obsoleted by a 6/6 for four mana. alas.. but it keeps wotc in business and fools separated from their money so i suppose everyone's happy.

I always make a big deal about how he "can't be countered" no matter what deck I'm facing. (as if playing him is such a good play it.. well.. cant be countered.)
That alone is worth the mana. Being a 5/5 for 4 make it main-deckable. Love it.

C-c-c-COMBO-BREAKER! He's got the killer Instinct. And he's even Gold! Haha
Why isn't this guy a Mythic or Legendary?? With 2 anti counter abilities and at least 1 (if not 2 mana, due to the red) ahead of the curve, 5 casting cost would've been rare. Hes def a beasts beast. Sick nasty.

Magic needs more wizard-eating behemoths. This is just pure awesome and a terror to mages. Compare to Spearbreaker Behemoth, which is mainly geared towards scuppering 's creature kill.
The downside you aren't seeing Keegan is that Green is not in Kaalia's Color Identity. :3 Cavern of Souls only gets you one type, and you probably want to set that type to Human.
Things like this are why the Nephilim Color Identities probably won't ever be on Commanders. It's bad enough that 5-Color Generals exist, but so far those have attracted people trying to build "Omnipotence decks" more that people trying to use just one extra color to get the MOST out of their 'Real' SECRET Commander. Consider a Scion of the Ur-Dragon Deck running Kaalia. Who is the true Commander? 4-Color Commanders are more dangerous to have than 5-Commanders because the only reason you wouldn't bump up to 5 is to be more focused. Rather than eke out every power from the color wheel, a 4-Color Commander probably just wants its 4th Color for a little bit of its deck to massively improve its main 3 colors, where a 5 Color deck wants as much of all the colors as possible :P
But if you just start looking at 2 and 3 color Generals and think to yourself 'what is the fastest, most direct way to break this literally stupidly in half such that it would need to get banned?' the answer is usually to wish for it to have just one extra color. :P
In Kaalia's case, adding either Green or Blue to her deck would be just plain dumb. In Zur's case, probably Red is more dangerous than Green because you can do lots of spell-cost hacking with his Blue, but the Enchantment synergies between Green and White are scary, too. Oh and Land Ramp of course xP In Riku's case, if you ever let him get his hands on a Necropotence, you deserve what you get O_O In Nicol Bolas' case, White would be horrifying for him to have, because that would make him "Kaalia + Blue"
You can play this game with any Gold card- 'what would happen if my favorite Commander could have this card?' and it's a lot like playing the 'what if this cost 1 less mana or had trample?' game. Basically- Because Development Matters xP
I wanted to point out the downside of this card. Against any non blue deck, barring some goofy off color counter, its just a 5/5 for 4 mana. Complete and utter crap. Not constructed worthy. Not causal worthy. Just poor design for a poor card. Which is prob why i run it in EVERY deck with G/R I run in modern or legacy sometimes ill sneak him into pre-release and slip him into my sealed pool. I even run him when im running NO other 5+ power creatures, whenYeva, Nature's Herald is the only other 4+mana creature in the deck. One of my favorite cards. Weird block mechanic card that I will be bashing face with where I can for years to come. 5/5, but that's biased because hes one of my favorite cards.
