Can get huge, generally not all that useful. Minor viability in multiplayer formats, where creatures die often and your graveyard likely has something to be eaten.

Interesting, but way too expensive.

I sometimes wonder who the joker was way back in the day that decided it was cool to make +0/+1 and +1/0 counters.

I'M GONNA BLOCK THAT CREATURE SO HARD! Oh, wait, you have two creatures? Crap, should've thought of a back-up plan.

2 for flavor and art. Otherwise....ummm yay really big wall?

Well it might be an interesting target for Skill Borrower or Myr Welder. Those are cheaper and their body can become more useful in many ways. (Necrotic Ooze also works, but the activation doesn't quite synergize with its ability.)

The problem is that huge walls don't win games - that was even true back then, though it was less obvious than it is today. Thankfully, cards like this aren't made anymore.

Wonderful flavor. The bodies of your slain warriors are put into the Necropolis, which absorbs their energy and becomes more powerful. Sublime art, too.

You don't see this sort of thing anymore. Now it's all about bold colors and sharp lines and IN YOUR FACE ATTITUDE. Gotta appeal to the man-children, I guess.

Even in death, the Egotist serves the multiverse.

Also, that's actually a neat idea. Toss out a bunch of stupidly expensively morph creatures and let them get killed, like the cloudscraper, then exile them using this guy.
