... The errata made the sacrifice part of the cost, instead of part of the effect, as clearly printed on the card as happening after the damage is dealt.

fling beats this, but soul's fire beats fling usually. This and fling are ment for, as the name of this card goes, the Final Strike. Souls fire sense it dosnt require saccing, can be simply used as a great burn spell.
To keep the card as close to it's written text as possible, this card should require the targeted creatue to remain on the battlefield while the spell resolves (and then demand the sacrifice). Making the card weaker shouldn't matter -- nobody plays the damn thing, anyway.

Its like fling but more expensive and sorcery. It can close the game but we have much better options now.
