casual my a$$ this card is god. you throw this card out there and your opponent had better just bow down to the king. in the alara block this card would effect all but 1 style (as it covers both black and red) and it protects your monsters from the biggest damagers, as well as providing a mass of vigilant flyers who can just trample over their enemies without concern

When Standard was Coldsnap/Time Spiral/Lorwyn/Shadowmoor/10th, I used to use Arc.u.m. Dagsson to sac Heap Doll to put this into play for free. I'd nickname it Heap Doll's Memorial.
yeah i cant predict this getting into play by hardcasting it... by the time you play this card your opponents are probably dead... and you are getting it into play via transmuter then you will probably go for the darksteel colossus or something easier to reanimate.
urza's lands and mana vaults are a must if you would even consider putting this in a deck. and even then, for 7 mana you would be better off throwing down platinum angel (it is just as easy to kill)

Wow, this card just makes Life and Limb that much better. I mean, now your creatures and lands have no summoning sickness due to haste and most creature destorying cards color black and red are gone, meaning I have less to fear about losing lands since with L&L all my lands are creatures. So unless oppoent got a lucky draw of Wrath of God, my land token army is a lot safer. This card is just awesome :D

Akroma's Memorial plus Darksteel Forge, and Karn Silver Golem and you got it.
All kidding aside, this thing is pretty insane. Tough to say if I'd rather have this or Eldrazi Monument, but it is clearly death on a platter if you can get it out.
The really interesting thing about this card is that, per other comments, any color can make use of it since the protection from red/black is really just butter on top of the slew of other abilities.
Cost prohibitive, but you're clearly going to use something like Master Transmuter to get it out there.
I use this in my Squirrel Deck, looks like this:
Essence Warden, Earthcraft, Doubling Season, Squirrel Nest, Skull Clamp = infinite life, creatures, mana, and my deck in my hand.
With the mana i play all of my coat of arms and this, to which my opponent usually says "great, but they are all tapped for mana so ur gonna lose next turn anyway," to which i promtply play vitalize. If he shatters the first memorial, I got 3 more in my hand.

This card is 7 mana and has no built in protections. Just Disenchant/Naturalize/Shatter/Counterspell it and laugh as your opponent goes from smiling widely to grumbling.
As for Akroma being dead: SPOILER ALERT: She 'died' way back in Scourge, although given that she was never truly alive, what with being a creation of Ixidor while he was going crazy, it's hard to say how much that counts for. She was fused with Phage into Karona, False Goddess when Kamahl attacked with his sword made with the Mirari embedded in it.
In most cases, I'd rather use Eldrazi Monument or Concerted Effort, depending on what type of deck it is. Even in a slower format like EDH.
This might be good in a mono-green ramping deck, though. (elf tribal, perhaps?)

power bonus...give me a break.. your creatures have Pro Red/Black which is NOT situational its 2/5ths of the colors of magic...(in simpilistic terms if you didnt realise no burn or deth spells on your creatures) anyway... FLYING,FIRSTSTRIKE,VIGILANCE,TRAMPLE,HASTE.....my creatures do fine on there own so having the latter of the abilities especially FIRSTSTRIKE,VIGILANCE,HASTE are the bonus... and if you have shrouded creatures this Artifact gets around it....... yeah!

Where this really shines is with creatures that have deathtouch. First strike + deathtouch = Just straight up murders any creature it gets into combat with (as long as the other creature doesn't have first strike as well and isn't indestructible.) + Flying = Very nearly a perfect blocker. + Vigilance = ...That can freely attack too. + Trample = ...And i'ts just about functionally unblockable (if it has more than 1 power). + Pro black/red = ...And sometimes it is unblockable and doesn't die to two of the better removal colors.

yeah, slightly steep, but if you're using it in an accelerated pure (and by pure I do mean pure, as in using either mox stones for mana or artifact lands ie. vault of whispers, etc) artifact deck, you can get this out for one blue using master transmuter to return, say, a land, and get this thing out there. Now, the way I personally have this particular deck set up is with gnarly artifact beasties (wurmcoil engine, inkwell leviathan, darksteel juggernaut, so on and so forth) that I can get out using essentially the same concept for pretty cheap and pretty quickly. This artifact only makes them that much more destructive. I dig.

I've used Sublime Archangel in my angels/goblins deck, in conjunction with Krenko, Mob Boss and Akroma's Memorial. There's something to be said about having 50+ Goblins on the board, all with flying, first strike, vigilance, haste, trample and protection from red and black. Combine that with all my creatures being exalted, attack with one goblin = at least +50/+50. My death by ant bite, goblins attack has become a one strike devastating attack.

One of my favorite cards in my frites deck. Akroma's memorial, necropolis regent, and avcyn angel of hope. Everything has haste and vigilance. Attack with all creatures, put the +1's on avcyn she becomes a 18/18blocker for your opponents turn. Your turn, attack again this time with trample. Also, try to equip her with the sword of mind and body, and sword of War and peace. She just became unblock, has protection from all colors and can't even be exiled. Yeah, people scoop when I get this and Akroma on the field. Lol. Especially when I get avcyn on turn 3.
