This card isn't that bad. It's supposed to cancel out persist. But the persist ability doesn't appear anymore.

It's not EXCLUSIVELY to Persist creatures, but rather any spells with Retrace, Unearth, Persist, "Phoenix" abilities, or spells that bring BACK cards through ways of OTHER spells...

Scarecrow is a fun tribal, and this darling of a 1 drop is no exception. Also, I don't think this thing can can hit Persist. Does it stay in the graveyard long enough?

Ohmigoodness, it's adorable, and the flavor text is so depressing. Do want. Also, useful for any deck that utilizes the graveyard. I could see this bring utilized quite well in the sideboard of some Modern/Legacy decks, although whether or not it can be used over Tormod's Crypt may be debatable.
