hmm not sure why this is rated so high, since my opponent can use the same effect = bad, it also means I have to build a deck around it to make it decent, which is never a good thing when judging a cards power.

@GrimjawxRULES that combo is okay, but does not actually work. ooze garden only lets you sac non-ooze creatures... the tokens are ooze creatures.
saproling burst for 5 mana is an instant kill with pandemonium in play... i suggest going with that.

This is rated way too high, it gives your opponent the same ability, meaning you have to build your deck around it to gain the edge from it, which is bad for the rating.

Step 1: Play Hostility. Step 2: Play Pandemonium. Step 3: Infinite damage loop. (Lightning Bolt for three damage, prevent it and get three 3/1 elementals, deal 9 damage, get nine creatures, etc.) :)
for whoever posted the hostility + pandemonium combo, it doesn't work. hostility's ability only triggers from damage inflicted by a spell (not an ability, or by combat damage), so the damage inflicted by the pandemonium's ability won't keep triggering it (only the initial lightning bolt will).

@Gilder Bairn A nice way to get 9 damage off of one red, but the damage from Pandemonium does not meet the spell criterion on Hostility.

Whitemane Lion = 2 damage for as much as you can pay per turn.
Stir once, and proceed to infinte damage. Serves any number of players.

Good combo potential, but also potentially a shield with spikes on the inside (double-edged swords are actually good for you).
As for the flavour text, as long as elves are dying, proudly or not, I'm happy.

Turn 4 Pandemonium Turn 5 Sneak Attack and activate it to put Bogardan Hellkite to battlefield. 5 damage to target creature/player 5 damage divided as you choose to multiple target creatures/players and 5/5 dragon with haste. GG
@Gilder Bairn As mentioned, the pandemonium damage will not trigger Hostility. However, if it did work the way you thought, it would end the game in a draw, as the damage prevention-creature generation loop wouldn't actually deal any damage, and the game state would not be able to progress due to the involuntary loop.
@niceguygreensboro 15 damage does not add up to GG, you'll need 20 for that.

Pandemonium has the creature deal damage. That makes Blightsteel Colossus an instant win. If you have any method of blink, it can toast multiple players, too.

For the past few years, I have had a lot of fun with this card in a deck that also has 3 Norin the Wary + 4 Confusion in the Ranks + 2 Viashino Sandstalker + 3 Viashino Sandscout. Another card in that deck worth mentioning is 2 Shivan Wumpus - 6 damage for 4 mana with the option of getting to do it again next turn is pretty nice.
My new combo for this card that I just started contemplating was infect. Blightsteel Colossus : Kill an opponent when it comes into play! Phyrexian Juggernaut, Phyrexian Hydra - also give you a lot of bang for your buck!
Weatherseed Treefolk and Shivan Phoenix + Sneak Attack + Pandemonium + Phyrexian Altar = worth it
The deck is old, and there weren't the massive poison options then, so it relies on the rest of the deck holding up so the combo can get out. Usually it was a turn 6 setup.
Tutors helped get it on the table, too.
I keep it in the deck box to relive old times =)

Part of me wants to play this with Warp World and watch the crazyness unfold.
Since you have to build around those to make them exceptionally good.

@ gilder_barn. That combo does not work, sorry. Hostility only works with spells, not the triggered ability from pandemonium! But nonetheless, its still a noteworthy combo. Even though its not infinite it will turn your lightning bolt into 9 damage and 3 creatures, not bad.

Regarding this card's interactions with protection auras, particularly those that specify a colour.
Could I please get some clarification/confirmation as to what colour the damage dealt is; red because it comes from Pandemonium which is a red card, colourless because the damage colour is unspecified, OR (I think this last option is least likely, as it says "equal to it's power" but should still be considered.) determined by the creatures colour?
Thanks in advance.

To the people who say "it's bad because your opponents get to use the ability as well..." Does anyone know the definition of the word "Pandemonium?" The ability for everyone to use it is kind of the point; hence, the card is called pandemonium; taken into consideration the cards ability does just that! I ran one in a red haste creature deck and it can be absolute enthralling chaos!!!

@ VixeyC: Pandemonium says, "...that creature's controller may have it deal damage equal to its power..." Yes, the creature itself is dealing the damage. You can use non-red creatures to deal damage to things with protection from red this way, and deathtouch and lifelink creatures will kill creatures and give you life. Some cards like Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius will have other effects when dealing damage, those will be triggered. Just check that the ability triggers with non-combat damage. For example, Phage, the Untouchable will still deal damage, but she won't win the game or kill creatures with power more than 4 because she only kills through combat.

Goblin chieftan + krenko can mean you wipe the board of your opponent's creatures and attack with a horde of guys all at once.

@JimmyNoobPlayer: This doesn't get around pro-red, even with a non-red creature. The damage is dealt by a creature, but the ability is Pandemonium's, so pro-red stops it from targeting in the first place.
