Play it on your prerelease, even if you're not infect. This card is a pain to deal with: You'll need to feed it a good creature, a combination of chumps, or trade a removal spell for it.

oh man. First pick in almost any draft. a 2 hit kill backed by 5 toughness. And any deck can play him.

This would be fun with any sort of evasion. Give it the right equipment, or just toss a Rancor on it, and the opponent is in serious trouble.

Quite the beast in limited. I was only unlucky to run into decks with plenty of removal. -.-

In an article by Tom LaPille, the flavor text is different. It instead reads, "Oh come on, you were going to anyway and you know it."

I wish it had the alternate flavor text:
"Oh come on, you were going to and you knew it" XD

This card is powerful and terrifying, I love it.

You might not even be running an infect deck and you could kill the enemy with poison anyway with a few of these in your deck. You could use the superior defenses of non-infect things like blue walls and blockers, then throw a couple of these at them once you're secure and have the mana.

After pulling this guy in a draft(third pick! I don't know how he got left that long.), I can personally attest to his immense power. An odd bit of synergy I found was with Copper Carapace, since he's not going to be doing any blocking anyway, he's got nothing to lose.

Equips are an infect deck's best friend. It's incredible how well it works.

What kind of Juggernaut can be blocked by walls?

Actually it's not that hard to remove; it dies to everything from shatter to arrest to turn to slag to viridian corrupter etc etc. However, you will have to spend good removal on it or probably die, so it's still a bomb.

Can't believe I just noticed this. This card is the Phyrexianized Darksteel Juggernaut, but it loses indestructibility in place of Infect. So they could do it for this card, but not for Blightsteel Colossus?

Won all of my drafts for me when I saw him. He comes through about 85% of the time, but that still pays off.

This is not how they design cards. They do not take one card, and then "Phyrexianate" it or something. Phyrexian creature cards are not "versions" of other cards.

The people designing these cards put a little more thought into it than that.

Jeez.

@GraemeGunn

Except for the fact that flavor is a part of designing a card as well, and flavorfully it fits Phyrexia perfectly to "Phyrexianate" other creatures. In fact, the entire purpose of this block is Phyrexia invading and taking over Mirrodin and indoctrinating its life into Phyrexia, in case you didn't notice.

There's really no way you can argue that Blightsteel Colossus isn't Phyrexia's Darksteel Colossus.

This card strongly resembles a Razorfield Rhino and also fits with the theme of Phyrexia improving on Mirrodin's creatures (this card is a lot better than the Rhino).

Etched Monstrosity is clearly a "Phyrexianated" Etched Oracle.

Phyrexia even "Phyrexianates" its own creatures (see Phyrexian Negator and Phyrexian Obliterator).

So in short, designers actually do design cards by "Phyrexianating" them, and these cards are versions of other cards.

@Saikuba: actually, Darksteel Juggernaut, arguably the best of the Juggernauts, can be blocked by walls too.
