If you can pump its toughness, en-Kor creatures would fit perfectly with him.

I love this card. I want this, Last Laugh, and Avacyn, Angel of Hope out at the same time. Anything dies and you will most likely wipe your opponents side of the board if you have the life for it. You can always choose one of your indestructible permanents to destroy to turn the cycle off if all of their creatures are dead (which they probably will be because all of the hexproof bypassing damage Last Laugh is throwing around). Add a Personal Sanctuary and a sacrifice engine and you're in business.
And do you know what happens when I flex my finger? SKIDOOSH!!

This + Last Laugh + Blessing of Leeches and deal 1 point of damage to High Priest of Penance. It is a 3 card combo, (unless you count the 1 point damage dealing as a 4th, but run 4 of each in a 60 card deck with some tutors and board wipes just in case. Could be quite powerful.
Best part that makes him a 5/5...."may"

So, does the wording of the card hint at an ability to destroy creatures with proc black or white since it doesn't seem the card is doing the targeting...the player is...? Am I just being noob?

So, you have Doran as your commander and you equip him usually with Sword of fire and ice now add this guy to your deck, equip him with the sword, attack and then deal the 2 damage to himself XD and destroy target nonland permanent, yay!

I'll come in again."
Really good effect for 2 mana, even though it's delayed.

On a game related note, this card will at least take out their biggest threat, attacking or not, and can easily be abused with indestructability

I like this guy a lot. He has a "build around me" feel, but even more than that he's just stupid good without trying to break him. He is an excellent deterrent, capable of stalling the field because no one wants to mess with him and lose their best permanent. Even if a player kill spells him, they are essentially wasting a removal spell that could better be used on your beefy guys. I've even used him in multiplayer to kill my one of my opponent's biggest creatures by asking a third player to fry him with a burn spell.
He can be used in absurd combos, perfectly reflects the stall and punish aspects of Orzhov, and can fill a variety of roles in multiplayer. The design team did an amazing job on Orzhov for this set.

Is it just me, or does he look like a Time Lord in full Galifreyan getups?
This might be my favorite card of the set. 2 CMC for a guy that, on his own with no other support, will either demand a removal spell or hose your opponent's best nonland permanent with a chump block. And it's even funnier if your opponent's only removal is in red.
And then of course, you can buff him with enchantments and equipment and make him truly horrifying. Hilarious. 4/5.

Actually not a bad exalted attacker, as the buff will let him take out a blocking creature AND a second permanent. If, of course, your opponent decides to block. Not ******* likely, but eventually.

Another awesome Orzhov creature, and probably the most useful in any format. I run four of them, and combined with Immortal Servitude and Treasury Thrull, you'll be making a lot of people unhappy when you destroy their planeswalkers if they're dumb enough to attack without pitching a Ghor Clan Rampager.

Hello there. I watned to ask if I can rescue this creature from dying with Cloudshift (exile target permanent and return) so that the Priest's ability resolves. Example: i block a 2/2 creature with Priest. I got Cloudshift on my hand an white mana to cast it. Is there a way to cast Cloudshift so that the ability resolves and i destroy a permanent and rescue the Priest from dying. I analised that and on the one hand i think NO cuz the damage is dealt, ability tiggers and simultanously the creature dies (no time to cast cloudshift). But on the other hand tiggered abilities create stack, so i could possibly cast cloudshift, exile and return Priest so it wouldnt die (but would the ability resolve and i destroy a permanent or does it leave the stack cause the source of the ability is not in the game). To sum up is there a way to destroy a pernament with Priest and make it stay in game using cloudshift in case it recieves ex. 2 combat or ex. shock damage? Pleae respond to this. P.S. Sorry for my english

@SnoopekPL: No. If he is dealt lethal damage, he will die immediately as a state-based action, before anything else can happen. After that, his ability will go on the stack, even though he is already dead. After that players will have a chance to respond. Nothing can happen between him being dealt lethal damage and him being put in the graveyard, unless it is a part of the spell or ability that dealt him damage.

This makes for a ridiculous wipeout combo in a B/W cleric deck with Frontline Medic and Pestilence. Add in a couple of Grand Abolishers for extra safety and Battletide Alchemists so it doesn't matter if you leave no blockers. I also run a few Batwing Brumes in case of a large counter-attack.
A nice little "must remove" two-drop. Either the opponent misses some combat damage and you get a vindicate or he uses a removal spell. If you build your deck right then they can't remove *everything* but *have* to.
If they're out of removal he's a decent attacker or blocker, depending on the board state. Consider running him next to equipment. The equipment makes him a lethal attacker or blocker and forces either blocking or removal that much sooner.

No, High Priest's ability can't target something with pro black or pro white or pro creatures etc.
While the card does say that YOU may destroy target nonland permanent, that is just saying that the controller of the creature also controls the triggered ability. Since he's still the source of the triggered ability, he wouldn't be able to target something like Blood Baron of Vizkopa.

My ideal situation would be chump blocking with it while having an Athreos and a Xathrid Necromancer on field. Yes, I would like to destroy your nonland permanent, deal 3 damage to you and gain a token.
