On its own, this is a cute trick that I would play just for the random fun value.

Played after Vanishment or Temporal Spring,
this card effectively reads "Gain control of target nonland permanent".

Played after Memory Lapse, it's essentially Spelljack in two easy payments.

Awesome card, you can steal the card that your opponent just ponder or preiodian. :D

Not too shabby. Even without knowing what's on top of the opponent's deck, this is great disruption. Got myself a Howlgeist and a Wolfir Silverheart with this little beauty at prerelease in the same round, and beat face with my opponent's own creatures. He was not pleased. Sorry, dude!

Fun card.

At the prerelease this was my favorite card to dual cast. Funny thing is it still is.

My friends and I could never take 'Wanna trade for those Stolen Goods?' seriously.

Also, this makes me want to make a Stolen Goods deck, using stuff like Grasp of Phantoms and stuff other people has mentioned here.

Eye of the Storm+Stolen Goods against a deck with nothing but instants and sorceries. Even if it's not, you can get pretty lucky and cast a lot of spells. Just imagine the size of that stack. That would be a big stack.

Pretty weak and situational overall...I cast this during prerelease and I got myself a super threatening...BATTLE HYMN. However, given the importance of Ponder in the meta (the ever popular Delver of Secrets deck), this might be worthwhile sideboard material. If only it were instant...

I don't get why more people don't play this. It's a ton of fun that ***es your opponent off. Probably best in multiplayer.

Stop! You violated the law! Pay the court a fine or serve your sentence! Your stolen goods are now forfeit.

For the enterprising thief, try a Dimir Charm to flip the cards in your favor.

Super-secret tech against those 99-mountain Ashling the Pilgrim decks

This + Dimir charm is absolutely disgusting.

"so i look at the top 3, put two in the graveyard and then i steal your favorite one for free."

I love this card for the simple reason that a friend has taken an Omniscience from someone in a multiplayer game before.

A really fun card to play around with. Requires to much set-up or is too random to see use in high level play, but the cost is right for casual play. I want to make a Blue/Black deck filled with mind control, reanimation and effects like this. With some cheap defensive creatures to help you survive I think it could be viable to use your opponent's deck against them.

This will go just nicely with Lantern of Insight.

In that regard, it's a bit of a bummer that this isn't an instant spell, since this would have made it more useful against control decks.

As said before, it also works nicely with bounce effects that send stuff on top of the library (e.g. Temporal Spring, Time Ebb or Unexpectedly Absent).

Nivmagus Elemental. Bam.

Djinn Illuminatus, Angelic Chorus, any Evolve card, any Izzet deck...the versatility of this thing goes on and on. White/blue/green covers you for pretty much everything this card can do for you, even if the opponent's card isn't that good, but basically anyone with blue and a handful of "enter the battlefield" abilities can really make good use of this card.
