this card is basically the regular juggernaut on crack. w/i SoM by itself he's deadly, but include M11 and pair him with a steel overseer and it's a super win.

So totally freaking awesome. I wish the art was a little more "holy crap" inducing but other than this this is great!

Needs trample. But otherwise HELL YES
I suppose Wizards is smart enough not to give it trample.

@ tantallum99
actually you could do that if add voltaic key to your deck for a vigilant win machine.

Unlike metalcrafters, it needs more than two artifacts to make it worth 5. is 10 enough?

I'm sad that this is in a set with infect. Indestructible isn't as indestructible as it used to be :(

No trample... :| Good card obviously, but not jaw-dropping.

How is this rated the same as bloodbraid elf??
It's barely playable, let alone great.

I put this in an equipment deck. I know it's more ideal in an artifact heavy deck, but in an equipment deck it's essentially a 1/1 indestructible that gets +1/+1 for each equipment I control. It's also a good body to put equipments on.

I can picture it now, a Darksteel Juggernaut wielding 4 Darksteel Axes.

I relied on this card as a finisher for me in a draft. The deck was full of Revoke Existences, Wall of Tanglecords and Ezuri's Archers for defense, plus a Sylvok Replica and a few big green creatures and equipment... I figured I had enough removal and defense that I could last until late game and then roll with this guy and my green creatures.

I always made it to the late game, but this never worked as a finisher. On two occasions I decked myself with this equipped by an Infiltration Lens. Nothing's better than attacking six times with a 7/7, drawing two cards each time, and not breaking through once because of stupid chump blockers.

Too expensive and unreliably-sized for a mid-game distraction, too blockable for a finisher.

Accorder's Shield is always fun. So is playing him in a Myr deck. Your opponent may think you inferior for having so many little 1/1's, until your drop out the Juggernaut.

The simple solution is to give it O-naginata.

This is the poor man's Blightsteel Colossus, with that cheapo sword it's got plenty of power, especially in a myr deck or with a nuisance engine out.

it will waddle ever onward, tearing into your opponent until thier army lies in peices and their health is -5. or they just infect it to death.

how big would a creature with must attack and indestructible have to be for paying 5 colorless? hmm round 4/4 i guess? this is more like 10/10 ½ the time tho. now if only there was an easy way to deal with fracturing gust^^

This beater is fun to play. Good flavor for casual, decent pick in a scars block draft, and who doesn't like an unstoppable and immoveable Juggernaut smashing face.

This + my affinity deck (all artifact lands and artifacts) + sword of vengeance = win

Best flavor text of any card ever.
Insane in any deck with a good chunk of artifacts. Ungodly in a Myr deck. Then it just gets scarier when you give him a Sword of Vengeance, or even a O-Naginata. Then you've really got an unstoppable object. An immovable force.
Simply the best.
And strictly better than Doom Blade.

I want this as a finisher for my metalcraft deck...I mean, a finisher besides 14/1 lifelink trampling flying hasty shrouded regenerating (using my Ichor Wellsprings, or course) Rusted Slasher

@MasterOfEtherium: What the hell are you talking about? That makes no sense whatsoever!!!!!

Myr Battlesphere, Semblance Anvil, Minion Reflector, Myr Galvanizer, and now This.... Bow to the Power of Artifact Creatures!!!

@gelatinousturncoat: nah, give it Kusari-Gama, it attacks, they block, it breaks ALL of their faces. take a direct hit or lose all your blockers and take that direct next turn. perfect lose/lose for opponent

Without trample of some kind of evasion this card is so-so in limited and virtually unplayable in constructed.

What a waste of paper.

@OmegaSerris Darksteel Juggernaut will always at least be a 1/1 because he is an artifact himself. It doesn't say other artifacts.

What's funny is he still dies to Creeping Corrosion, unless there is something else 'darksteel' on the field of course.

Fun card, none the less. I agree that it could of used trample or some form of "can't be blocked except by X creatures" to at least get the chumps out of the way faster.

Edit: Ah, so it does. My mind must have added the "other" as I read it as many cards have it worded so. My bad.

From landboysteve: "Without trample of some kind of evasion this card is so-so in limited and virtually unplayable in constructed. What a waste of paper."

Almost every creature would be better with evasion or trample. That doesn't mean it's a waste of paper for not having it. Quit being lazy: Just give it evasion or trample if you think it needs it! Whispersilk Cloak gives it evasion and protection, as does Akroma's Memorial, and the memorial, Loxodon Warhammer, O-Naginata, and Sword of Vengeance all provide trample and are just awesome anyway. None of the ones I mentioned have any color requirements, so they fit in any deck the juggernaut does. All of them are artifacts, so they make the juggernaut bigger.

Pairs nicely with Mycosynth Lattice when all else fails.

Just because of this card, I have made a deck where the only cards that AREN'T artifacts are three galvanic blasts. Also, Golem Artasian works fine for trample, and it's another artifact. As long as you have a Semblance Anvil or Mycosynth Goelm you won't feel the pain of not having much land.

A waste of paper? Wow. He's obviously never turned these sideways and watched his opponent disappear under it's feet. These things are, well, jus refer to the flavor text. Awesome beatdown.

Forget about trample, give a card like Aqueous Form to it and put other cheap artifacts out to boost it & opponents are done for.

"Needs trample".

Did you miss the part where it's indestructible? I'd give this 4/5, simply because it's a solid card but not game-breaking. The fact that it HAS to attack each turn means you can't use it as a hold-back to defend with...except you can, since Voltaic Key is legal in Commander (which this card is begging to be played in).
