Ehh... at least it's not Kite Shield.

Free vigilance over Kite shield is huge. This is a solid limited card that allows most any of your creatures to be more aggressive than normal.

Vigilance can mean a lot so can extra toughness in limited but it is rather expensive (three per equip).

Back with a vengenace! Well, the best thing about Accorder's Shield in SoM limited was that it was an easy Metalcraft enabler. Just a tad too low-powered to be worth it in a core set probably...

Phylactery Lich doesn't have long to take advantage of this.

Not very bombish, but free artifacts are always useful.

Too expensive for the effect. Six mana.... nah. If it would cost 2 to play and 2 to equip, it would be barely playable.

Majinara this card does not cost 6 mana. it has a 0 casting cost and only 3 to equip

A horribly underrated card. My best moment with this at pre-release was snapping it onto the back of a Marauding Maulhorn. To make things better, I also had a Zephyr Charge sitting on the battlefield. So not only was my 5/3 that had to attack every turn a 5/6, but it was a 5/6 with vigilance! Without Accorder's Shield, I would have lost that game horribly. my 5/6 flynig vigilant death machine won me the game against all odds.

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THIS.

Meh, this isn't n uncommon though. I mean it's an OK card in block but uncommon?

This would be an interesting thing to equip Accorder Paladin with on turn 3. Flavorful and formidable.

I can't really decide if this is a good card or not. On one hand, you can get it out first turn no matter what and play something else, and have it give a good defensive boost a little later. On the other hand, it's an artifact, giving red a big chance to get rid of it in the few turns you have it out, what with Vandalblast and other such cards, and it costs 3 mana to equip.
I would prefer a 3-mana CMC and a 0-mana equip cost, but I feel that would completely break this card.
Overall, I'm glad to see this card is back with a *incomingbadpun* vigilance.

Free spell is good for Extort decks. Hmm Phyrexian Mana and Extort would be a nice Combo in Modern.pay life to damage opponent and heal... Also cheap artifacts like this and Tormod's Crypt

Yotian Soldiers used that shield.

Lovin' this card in M14 Limited.
All the creatures seem to have a vulnerable toughness,
And this card boosts them out of the danger zone,
Then adds insult to injury by giving them Vigilance.

Unless you have a good reason, never cast this card until you are ready to equip it. A surprise vigilance swing will throw your opponents off their game. Budget constructed worthy for sure, I am just sad his best friend Vampire Nighthawk is not in M14.

I've always thought that vigilance is an underrated ability. One of the most common stalemates you'll encounter is to defensively choose to not attack, anticipating an alpha strike the following turn. With vigilance, you don't have to choose. That kind of flexibility wins games.

I have a foil of this, it's so shiny!
