Will most likely see sideboard play sometime in the near future.

I loved when they previewed this:
Tom Lapille: "I talked about the need for answers of this sort, but said that we didn't want to give out the nuclear codes quite yet, as we wanted there to be some amount of time during which playing out a bunch of artifacts was safe.
That time has passed. Here are the codes."

Really needed this card. I play a standard elves deck against a friend who plays a tempered steel affinity deck with some legacy cards (damn you thoughtcast). It's really sad when something can actually outrace an army full of llanowar elves, arbor elf, and elvish archdruids. Bye bye swarm of memnites and other evil things!

Sideboard Card that crushes some creative Rogue Decks (UB Artifacts with Tezzeret 2.0, T2 Tempered Steel, Metalcraft).
...why did they make one of my favorite red cards green?
I am now sad.

The name doesn't fit for me. Creeping, and instantly destroy all artifacts don't seem to go together well.

@alblast: Maybe it's creeping corrosion because a small amounts of unchecked corrosion caused massive artifact failure simultaneously. Besides, it's a sorcery...

Clearly made it green so it could be Phyrexian and historically green is just as anti-arti as red. Not sure why they thought metalcraft was so stong it needed a single-card killer.

@alblast: It's not an instant. It doesn't instantly destroy all artifacts. Fact of the matter is, we don't know how long turns are supposed to represent. For all we know, an attack phase is like a crusade across Ulgrotha and takes a relative amount of time (around 10ish years), so it kinda puts a perspective on the game.

Guys, its not about metalcraft. Its about the fact that green hasn't EVER had a mass artifact removal spell, and that it deserves one.

Wow those crazy metalcraft decks sure needed some hoser, we wouldn't want players to actually make decks out of half the cards from this current block or anything. .5/5

Should be "Instant Corrosion" or "Sudden Corrosion" or something similar.
I would have much preferred this be centered in the text box. Just a simple "Destroy all artifacts."

As this stands now, this card is just too specific. Maybe soon green will get an enchantment saying "Make all opponents creatures artifacts in addition to it's current type" or something. Then lay this card down. A green version of DoJ.
If green gets this combo, this card will be a 5.0/5. If not, this card will always be sub-par. Hard to find room even in sb for this. 2.0/5

Hee Hee. This in a non artifact infect deck and against a mono-myr deck would be great.

For people saying this card wasn't needed because artifact strategies aren't very powerful, you're missing the point of this.
This card is a safety valve, plain and simple. When you print tons and tons and tons of powerful cards that have NO color commitment, bad things can happen (see: Mirrodin block) and formats can become horribly warped (see: entire Vintage metagame). This card is here to stop that from ever happening in Scars. If someone develops the wacky mono brown super-affinity deck for Scars, we have an answer pre-packaged for us ready to be played at this very moment.

I have a question? If you have a artifact that is indestructable then will this card be useless on that card??
daktr
☆☆☆☆☆ (0.0/5.0)
@macre: Yes it is useless. Undestroyable artifacts cannot be destroyed by creeping corrosion.

Oh hey let's make a set partially based off of artifacts, but make the artifact mechanics mediocre at best and difficult to utilize and then print a card that just obliterates all of it.
This card won me a game tonight. He put out Myr Battlesphere for blockers against my elves that were going to rip his face off then passed turn. I played this, eating his Tumble Magnet and Everflowing Chalice at the same time, then swung full past his tapped attackers and ate him.

What's that Tempered Steel? You're gonna be a great aggro archetype soon? Hmmm
Good sideboard against the Tempered Steel Standard deck currently going around. That deck would be hard-pressed to recover from a one-sided wrath.

You know it's interesting really but I prefer Seeds of Innocence. Sure this card doesn't run the risk of giving lots of life to your opponents but Seeds plays so fun and can help you out if you have a few big expensive artifacts you are willing to part with in order to clear out all your opponents artifact lands for example.

Gods, I love the art on this card. It represents the resilience and fortitude of nature for me, gradually stealing through the paraphernalia of civilization and wiping it clean. That is, at least, until I look at the watermark.

This card doesn't destroy ALL artifacts as it promises, just the ones in what ever game you're playing.
