It's ironic that the original legends were really, really bad and this is a legend-hate card.

Yea, not a whole lot of flavor, and yes, vaguely ironic, but hows-about playing it in EDH? That's the stuff.

A nightmare to my favorite deck... half the creatures are Legendary fighters!

Biggest "screw you" card to play in EDH. Thumbs up to the bastard that puts it in every EDH deck they make so they can drop it after their opponent summons the general.

I see a potential combo with Leyline of Singularity. Other than that, I don't see much use for this outside of EDH or Legends block.

I find it hilarious how a bad card from an awful set still manages to kick all those hordes of kamigawa legends firmly and effectively in the crotch.

The flavor is that the legends become compelled to wage battle against each other in the arena for honor.

great with zedruu the greathearted, or other generals that never need to be untapped, in EDH
Use it in my Rayne build for EDH, she doesn't need to be untapped and Arena screams target me, they play a card on it + I draw a card, Win, Win. If it stays it's stasis' alot of generals.

Norin the Wary laughs at this card. Actually, runs away is probably the proper term.
And yeah, seems like a trolly good time in EDH. /trollface

LOL, I agree this card completely nerfs Kamigawa. 4/5 for the surprise factor alone.

Totally random... at least have the Legends actually fight or something... oh, well.

Browsing through cards for my EDH deck and saw this and laughed. Doesn't fit the theme of the deck but it's a great card to drop just to control the flow of the game.

Another decent card for controlling Sigarda in EDH!
Take general damage winning out of the question. Put it in a lifegain deck, and your opponent has got to mill you. Then chuck in a Elixir of immortality and laugh in their face. Don't forget to chuck in a Darksteel Forge to keep your Arena around, mind you. Then they've got to exile it.
And what abut some combos? Quest for Renewal? Leyline of Singularity? Urabrask the Hidden? Amulet of Vigor? Honestly, if you're still calling this card bad, and don't think that keeping your opponent's legendaries tapped for THREE COLOURLESS is one of the most OP abilities EVER, then you don't know how to play Magic.

Bobby Sinclair assumes everyone is stupider than him because he understands the basic concepts of synergy. The card is very good in the appropriate block or format, but not much else. The people who call a card bad usually tend to lack imagination, not skill because from my experience they are all likely net deckers. Bobby Sinclair is kinda a tool.

Grimgrin, Corpse-Born is the one who laughs at this card.

And what about your own general? It's an artifact, so it'll fit in any deck. Tap your opponent's generals, then play your own. If they're not affected by tapping, all the better! Geth, Lord of the Vault, Grimgrin, Corpse-Born, Memnarch, Oona, Queen of the Fae, Sliver Queen, Zedruu the Greathearted. All these generals either aren't affected by tapping, or can easily be untapped.
