My Limited Gravediggers now cost colorless mana, and come with infect? My, you're too kind...

Colorless 2/2 with infect? decent card. Add a infect based Disentomb ? Now I might consider adding it to my future infect deck

All I can say is "GOOD BOY!" Awesome card that saved my a$$ in sealed.

I was running 7 or so infect creatures at the prerelease. It wasn't enough, and this dude was pretty much a total dud as a result. I'm worried that a deck with enough dedicated infect might pass on this guy in favor of stronger/more evasive phyrexians. I'm not sure where he fits into the environment.

Let's look at it like this: "Infect" is distributed between green and black in this set. So if you want as much infect as you can get, you want to use a deck. If you split those two colors, you're going to definitely want some colorless. This is that, and has its own infect, and retrieves one of your suicide infectors for you. And it's a common.
I gave it 4 stars.

I guess magic number is 12 infecties for limited deck. It won't work reliably if you've got less than 10, it's for sure. Otherwise, he's pretty useful.
This isn't bad at all, I'd draft it for sure if I was going with infect, and it's colorless too. That's just icing. Not amazing, but definitely solid.

Nah brah Infect deck's all like "Don't Currr 'bout your removal son! Bout to get my creature ReCURRRRsion on!"

I see a Xenomorph.
As for its usefulness, I didn't do too well with it at the pre-release. Of course, this only helps retrieving Putrefax or Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon back to your hand.

I don't like it that much. Infect will be most likely a block only mechanic, so this will get worse over time. Gravedigger might not have infect, but at least it can return any creature to your hand.
Cute card. It's fine by itself just because it has infect. Casual loves it as playing a full set gives you a good chance of looping several together through recursion. The colorless Gravedigger aspect may make it a passable candidate for poison decks to sideboard against control.

sub-par art.

The backbone of a draft infect deck. Keep those bombs coming back. Although the most obnoxious thing is using one to recurse another.

a seriously underrated card. combo with throne of geth and possibly hand of the praetors for sick times. your skittles/ hand of the praetors got roasted by removal? your putrefax died? no problem! oh yeah, two of these fetching each other infinitely is guaranteed to make his spot removal sans non-graveyard destined effects look pretty stupid. don't forget, proliferate and infect appear to be made for each other, and with throne of geth stoking the flames for those everflowing chalices, ol infect doggie will just keep coming back

I'd argue that this is one of the best infect commons out there. If I was drafting infect, I'd likely only take Cystbearer or maybe Plague Stinger over this. This is because this is one of the 2 ways that infect can get any card advantage, the other being Moriok Replica. Unless you have Skittles, the only way an infect player can win in the late game is to keep on Recurring infect creatures, and this guy is the key to doing so.

Did infect need help coming back from the graveyard? Wasn't killing most players by turn 4 or 5 enough?

Good for when you run out of steam. Bring your Ichor Rats back for those last few poison counters.

Awesome the turn after they rejoice killing your Skithiryx or Hand of the praetors.

The best part about using it to recur Putrefax is the expression on your opponent's face.

if I wasn't so annoyed with the limitations of infect, I would use this card supposing I had an infect deck.

I run four Corpse Cur in a deck that's light on creatures and they've been a steady stream of never-ending blockers that whittle down an opponent's creatures fairly quick. Pair them with means for proliferation and you can bring down bigger creatures within a turn or two.

Ok, the Corpse Cur + Throne of Geth + Core Prowler thing is really and nice and all....no really, limited players, Im happy for you...
But,,,
Forest, Glistener Elf
Inkmoth Nexus, attack with Glistener, tap for Groundswell, pay life for Mutagenic Growth,
and umm I have a mana floating from the Nexus...Hex Parasite?
GG?
and if you want to play slow Phyrexians...Corpse Cur is 4 mana. I know a 4 mana creature that kind of rapes Corpse Cur. Anally. Repeatedly. Phyrexian Obliterator.
So what if he's mono-black? He's also mono-biwinning.

This is probably my favorite common in the Scars set. He always puts in work for me, and because I know his brothers can bring him back to life, I can afford to play reckless with him.
Don't even need one in the graveyard with the two Summonings out: as soon as it enters play, it dies to the -2/-2 while it's ability goes on the stack; so you just use it's own 'enter into play' ability to disentomb itself.
Pretty fast and effective standard deck. With all the self mill out there and Buried Ruin, only card hard to set up is the enchantment.

The problem with this card is that infect decks have a LOT of 4-drops. Hand of the Praetors, Core Prowler, Phyrexian Vatmother etc, and you're also going to have a ton of 3 and 5 drops that are far more important to your actual winning strategy, like Phyrexian Crusader and Skithy.
It's not that this is a bad card. It's decent enough, there just isn't room for it in most infect decks.
