Evasion + Infect = Standard? Who knows...

In my opinion, is on par with Ichorclaw Myr and Blight Mamba, seeing how they are all 2cmc for a 1/1 with infect and one other useful ability. This should probably be in every infect deck alongside Ichorclaw Myr

Great black poison-counter card, I'm loving the Infect mechanic.

This guy becomes annoying really really fast...bump his strength with some equipment or a Trigon of Rage and watch your opponent scrambling to stop him. Much better than Swamp Mosquito...perhaps with both of them in your deck, having 8 cheap flying poison insects can lead to something.

Infect + Flying in a 2cmc creature. What more needs to be said?

That's one mean gnat. Staple for infect deck. Just pump it, pump it again and watch how opponent dies in pain.

This little guy is amazing. Flying poison is is something fierce, managed to snag a few of them in a draft and they helped out alot.

1st turn: Whatever you like, Infiltration Lens makes for a good one-drop in an infect deck.
2nd turn: This guy.
3rd turn: Cast three vampire's bite.

Good, but annoyingly small. If you get it in the late game, it's nearly useless. A good turn two card to start the game with.

Turn 1: Swamp - Pull out Adventuring gear
Turn 2: Forest - Plague Stinger (or any other 2 cost infecter, but Plague stinger is best because of flying)
Turn 3: Use the Swamp to equip Adventuring Gear, and then throw down Vardent Catacombs and use it to pull out another Forest and attack, buff your creature with any combo of Giant Growths or Groundswells (remember that you have 2 untapped Forests) and you'll have yourself a turn 3 win.

This little guy in my opinion is the best Infect creature, and that is the very reason for my affection. If you build a deck around this, then you'll have a very deadly deck (in standard) that will win fairly consistantly between 3 and 5 turns.. 5 turns would be a bad draw.

Black is always happy to see decent fliers come its way.
Point of fact: this guy is more than decent.

You can put your Swamp Mosquitoes away now.

How often do you see a format-defining 1/1 flier for 1B?

Bog Imp plus one word, one, becomes the cornerstone of the deck that rules limited. And people think infect is weak.

I'd still take this guy over Blighted Agent. Mainly for the art, but also because he can block fliers if things go boggles-up.

You have a fair point about the Stormfront Pegasus, cheesetouch. A wrong point, but a fair one.

Both get you 10% of the way to victory when they connect. However, here's how good 'ol Plague Stinger is superior:

-More value from equip/enchant effects. Throw a Trusty Machete on the Plague Stinger, and he's suddenly swinging for the equivalent of 6, as opposed to 4 from the flying horse guy.

-Getting a poison counter on an opponent. Do two damage to an opponent: cool, but life goes on. Put a poison counter on, and now you have a foothold for proliferating effects, and also the trigger for using your Corrupted Resolves.

-Arguably more likely to get your opponent to spend a removal spell on a 2 drop.

And that's not even getting into the merits of an efficiently costed black flier. On the surface the two may seem similar, but there's a reason Plague Stinger gets more love.

Opening hand with Plague Stinger + 3 Vampire's Bites + 3 Swamp means that if your opponent has no counters or removal, you will win on turn 3. Not very likely to happen, but still a combo that does lethal damage in one turn for less than a dollar.

Main beater in my Green/Black infect. Everyone is so afraid of him, it's nit even funny anymore. He either kills or gets killed.

I don't like Infect because everything is a threat and everything needs to be blocked, but blocking is rarely favorable. Not to mention infect decks are relatively cheap to make, and you get a lot of people playing Infect. Not saying it's overpowered or unfair, I just don't enjoy the mechanic.

if you dont like this card you should bang your head on the wall 75 times, and proliferate.

I turn 3 killed somebody in edh with normal land drops, this 27 life, and unspeakable symbol.

When I added dark ritual and inkmoth nexus, and somebody died on turn 2, my playgroup banned infect.

I am a terrible person.
