I like this because it and Hand of the Praetors let Infect decks win without attacking, letting their creatures sit back on defense and have infect deter attackers, while free poison counters eventually win. It's not too great in the mirror matchup, though.

A free Shock to the dome for playing you? Oh, you shouldn't have.

It sucks that it's each player and not each opponent, but I think 1BB for a 2/1 Infect and all of your opponents getting a counter straight away is worth that little drawback.

Super sweet. I can eat a poison counter as long as the other guy isn't playing a poison deck, too.

Do not use versus another Infect deck!

Janky on their own. You'll need some proliferation or evasion giveaway to make 'em work. Otherwise Contagious Nim is better for the job and less colour-comitting too.

How would this work in the Emperor Format, would it only affect you and the two next to you or everyone because of the blanket effect?

Why is each vote not 5/5, I personally think this card DEFINES the infect format. Comes into play, bam, poison counter. Who cares if you get one too, as long as you have less than 7 so far. 2/1. SWING. Who cares what happens after that. Either they take an extra two counters(at least), or it dies and -2/-2's something. Then, wake up, you're playing BLACK. Get him out of your grave for and DO IT AGAIN. Repeat, with Hand of the Pedofiles for added counter-nonsense, until they die or you get enough Proliferate to make Magic R&D question why on earth they made it so easy to hit the 10 counter mark.
Easiest Way To Get An Infect Counter On Your Opponent Lets Proliferate Do It's Thing Right Away Plus 2 Power Is Nice. Awesome Art : )

Sets off Septic Rat's +1/+1 ability. I'd love to build a deck that used this as its only infect creature and used Steady Progress, Thrummingbird, and the contagions to proliferate to victory. Such a cool rat.

Responsible for one of my favourite game wins of all time at a PTQ limited event.
My opponent was playing infect, I was playing a proliferate based control deck.
My opponent played this guy. Over the course of the game, I proliferated his one poison counter to ten counters. My deck contained no infect creatures.

ONLY upside is it's not turn-one win. I guess.

Or give it undying.
Or both.
