This is just sadistic. That said, it's a very good card. It's like a reverse provoke ability, very nice!

Red walls FTW. Use with Battle Rampart to kill their creatures the turn they come in.

This card won me a match by itself at the pre-release. I had enough life to withstand the all out attack I forced from my opponent, leaving him defensless on the following turn for the win. Also excellent at taking out those annoying little creatures with activated abilities or level-uppers before they get the chance to level up. Just have them run straight into the nimbus. The low casting cost lets you get this card down early, it can be a big problem for opponents. Don't hesitate to aura this baby up. 5/5

i always said what red needed was a rare wall. and now we have one, yay!
Why is this card rated so low? This is simply one of the best red cards I've seen in ages. In limited, this is a game crusher.

use with silent arbitar , you oppenants attack phase will become a very depressing expereince , i was using alluring siren for this role , but this card is the bait and the trap all in one .
very good for defensive red decks (and yes they do exsist)

Defender? On MY red elementals? What's the world coming to?
i made references to basilisk collar on other cards, but so far i think i like putting it on this baby the most

Fun card without a doubt. Combine with Aether Membrane for impressive red delay. Forcing combat is a strong effect, and no tap symbol allowing multiple force even better. Although in most cases you will need board leverage to really benefit from this card's effect. And setting up board leverage with red doesnt really fit into red's scheme of aggression. Nor does playing walls when using red.
Red is always on a clock... its removal, recurrsion, and crafty tricks are vastly inferior to the other colors. Now if you play walls with red... are you really benefiting your deck, or your opponents?

I really want to make that defender deck that the set wants you to make, with Vent Sentinel and Wall of Omens and Warmonger's Chariot and basically every creature with defender that I can get my hands on (and maybe a few without defender as well).
Oh and Tower of Calamities could actually work pretty well in a defender deck with Overgrown Battlement. I'm just saying that because I have a single copy of it and I want to put it in a deck.
Tower Defense ftw!

@Stray_Dog: I've made the defender deck the set wants you to (or at least one version of it) on MTGO. Apart from this, it also runs Vent Sentinel, Perimeter Captain, Wall of Omens and Stalwart Shield-Bearers. Lust for War is the quasi-removal of choice since it bolts the opponent every turn while running the creature into my walls for 2 x (# of Perimeter Captains) x (# of defenders) lifegain or, more often, makes them use their own removal on their side of the board. Backups are Flame Slash and Journey to Nowhere. Wincons are Vent Sentinel and Warmonger's Chariot. For good measure I've got a Basilisk Collar in there too. Kind of hilarious seeing the defender deck suddenly pull out 7 flying lifelink to the dome, and the collar helps the 2 get through off anything else if I don't have a Nimbus out. I wouldn't say the above is tournament worthy (it's very weak against walkers, for one), but it holds its own in casual play.

Props for the Tower of Calamities/Overgrown Battlement idea (be sure to run Ancient Stirrings in that deck if you only have one tower.)
