either the requirement being tapped, the activation cost of three, or the double-white makes this card less enjoyable to me.

Too many hoops to jump to get him to do his little trick. I don't like the untap abilities by nature, and white has better ways of getting their dead back.

I just put him with Master Apothecary and they work together just fine in my cleric deck, especially when I need to get a Mother of Runes back.

The hoops are big because the effect is very powerful, especially given that it is repetable.
Certainly not constructed worthy, but great for casual.

I woudn't rule this guy out of constructed so easily... There are so many different creatures he is able to combo with, giving you formidable solutions against many decks. Creature like Stingscourger and now you got a bounce every attack step. Or a creature like Qasali Pridemage to cast disenchant every turn. Any creature with echo or a sacrifice effect might be worth looking at if you want to try to run this dude. Also if you add things like Imperial Recruiter you can chump block with recruiter and cycle it back to fetch another possible threat. You can play a Survival of the Fittest style of deck with out playing green! Not to mention the 1/4 body adds great durability against most mass burn removal sitting in legacy deck sideboards. Firestorm, Volcanic Fallout, Pyroclasm, and Firespout

P.S. Combo with Bone Shredder ***Terror each attack step!***

Hmmm, his effect is cool, but in regards to untaps, I do have other preferences. I'll list them now! Pili-Pala, Gilder Bairn, and Patrol Signaler for starters, infinite mana, infinite counters, and infinite creatures, respectively. Of course, if you're wondering how they're infinite.... Paradise Mantle and Training Grounds. You don't even need to splash blue. You'll have a Paradise mantle, just tap that for blue, play training grounds, and then you're set. It's infinite combos for beginners, practically. Anyway, I'm sure you can come up with something for this guy, and if you can't, I'll give you a little push. Ashnod's Altar. Such an amazing card, and a combo piece. Here's another one, Farrelite Priest, and, believe it or not, Blood Vassal.
2 plains, a paradise mantled this, a training grounds, and both the priest and the vassal in the GY Tap a plains, tap this guy, that's WW, untap, bring the Priest. Tap, tap your other plains, then untap, bring in the Vassal. Sac the vassal, adding BB to your mana pool. Convert that BB to WW, and then tap this guy for WWW, then untap, left with W, bring forth the thrull, bam, infinite mana, and then infinite revive creatures from GYs. Well, it sounds nice and all, but it IS a 5 card combo. You could substitute Blood Vassal for Blood Pet, and it'd still work. And, it could still work if you used Ashnod's Altar... maybe. Anyway, if this comboing isn't your thing, you should know, it's my thing and I don't care about what you think of it. I like it so I'm stickin with it. Thinking about it, it's actually a three card combo. Enlightened tutor can grab the mantle/training grounds, and the other cards just need to be sent to the GY by some card.

This is great as a blocker, never mind the ability.
Good lord this guy is sitting on the verge of being absolutely broken. I'm sure there's some fantastic WR artifact deck that can just destroy with this thing.

This guy is an absolute beast in my Goatpocalypse Springjack Shepherd, Springjack Pasture deck. He basically singlehandedly makes the deck immune to burn and creature kill, and I can snatch him up with my Kithkin Harbingers. 5 out of 5 for improving my favorite deck.

Now spams Skaab Ruinator resurrection. Also a handy drop in a Sun Titan deck, since it both works with any creatures the Titan was going to pull and is brought back by the Titan itself.
Ridiculously good. I use him with Skirsdag High Priest and other tap-clerics to get reusable reliable demons out. If he's not killed then things start getting out of hand.

Lots of ways to tap this guy without involving combat. For example: Glare of Subdual, Healer's Headdress, Opposition, Master Apothecary, any Conspire cards.

He can only bring back creatures that cost 3 mana or less... what a shame.
You know who costs 3 or less? Eternal Witness. Instant speed Regrowths sound good to me, especially with a free 2/1 along for the ride.
