This is a great card, a cheap unblockable creature that can be discarded for something more useful when needed is perfect. Although its hard to say if the dimir infiltrator is or isn't better than Inkfathom Infiltrator.

Well, I'd say it's obvious that the Dimir Infiltrator is better, isn't it? I mean, yeah, the other guy's got 2 power but still, as you said:

- transmutable (is that a word - I'm german...?^^)
- he actually CAN protect you too and can take something, too

Very much fun to use him with things like Mask of Memory or Ophidian Eye ;-)

I have 4 of this in my BlueBlack mill deck mostly just to transmute it for Glimpse the Unthinkable.

Great card to transmute for Exhume and Animate Dead in Reanimator. Also provides some defense and a little offense. Awesome with certain equipment too:)

They could errata it with a "ruoge" creature type, like almost every other Infiltrator...
However, great 2CMC Dimir creature! With 3 thoughtness it can block minor threat, it can attack without fear bringing some little damage (enchanted with Moldervine Cloak, or equipped with anything can be quite serious...), and transmutable for something useful, like Dark Confidant, just to name one...

useful early blocker, ninja transporter and transmuteable for doom blade, echoing truth, counterspell ect and as already pointed out truly savage with Helm of the Ghastlord. Alround brilliant.

I don't see how Diregraf Captain works with this card at all, aside from being a card you can play after it. It doesn't interact with spirits or the 2 cmc transmute in anyway
