a blue card that turns all of your creatures into red dragon tokens... would be excellent in and token deck that could play it

It's strange that this card is blue, yet it makes dragons. Red dragons. You just need a way to make tokens like thopters, merfolk, birds, etc. They should've made this card red so you could "champion" your worthless goblins.

should of called it day of the drakes and made 5/5 blue drake tokens, this card seems weird as blue, almost like it was a mistake

Might be red dragons to negate protection from blue effects. ie--your opponent has a protection from blue card on the field making all your blue creatures useless, use this and swap them all for red creatures. Good sideboard card for playing decks specifically designed to protect from blue.

that would work amazingly well in the new "m10" decks, there is an intro deck thats blue and red... these are the cards i look for so i can make opposites attract...

What a fun card...Have a couple of creature controlling cards at hand, and play this with a little help of High Tide.
OR EVEN Reins of Power their creatures, use a High Tide, cast this and hello Dragons!!

Playing Gather Specimens in response to this is the perfect way to ruin someone's game.

Blue being the worst token producing color makes this card significantly less effective.
But $%^&, I want me a crapton of dragons!

When it leaves the battlefield cast Ego Erasure on yourself so you don't lose your dragons, plus you will still get all your exiled critters back.

This is good either way you look at it. Let's just say you have four creatures in play. You play this, remove them from the game. And then attack with the dragons full out and keep attacking with them until they all die off. Then you play an enchantment destruction on it and get all your creatures back. Also, even if your opponent destroys the enchantment, your gonna get your creatures back. So, overall, I think this is pretty good. 3.5/5.

Could you play this, next turn use Artificial Evolution to change the "sacrifice all dragons" to say something irrelevant like "sacrifice all squirrels" so that way when it leaves play you can keep your dragons and have your normal creatures back?

@Eregis:

Yes, yes you can. Great combo. Play Day of the Dragons, then once you have your dragon tokens, play Energy, changing all instances of the word Dragon with Squirrel. For anyone wondering how you can cast this quickly when playing blue... there's always Jhoira of the Ghitu.

Just sacrifice it in while the CIP ability is on the stack and you will keep your dragons forever. Play it in a green/blue deck to make a tons of tokens

I played this in a deck with CIP creatures, including Eternal Witness. If my opponent destroyed the enchantment, Witness came back and I got the Day of the Dragons back in my hand. If they wiped out my dragons, I bounced the enchantment back to my hand and got all the effects again for the CIP creatures. It was frustrating for them.

I also had a Tatsumasa and Keiga for added flavor.

I saw mention of Johira, and that amde me think... turn 3-4 get Joira out... suspend both this and Insurrection

4 turns later... PROFIT!

not to mention you return the creatures under YOUR control when it goes :D

you know... assuming you don't kill them that turn/they have disenchant

It's mystifying how Blue makes strong tokens of enemy colors. But, god I love it.

intresting card, but it is dificult for blue to make enough creatures to make this worth it and also for blue to pay it's costs. it would be amazing if it did it whenever a creature interd play instead of only when this card was play. but then it would be broken in a UG endless swarm deck

I think it's blue because of the tranformation magics and the dragons are just innately red.

this was one of my fun little surprises i decided to put in my merfolk deck. opponents never expect something like this when you are playing merfolks, it's fun to see their faces when my seven 1/1's become big bad dragons.

Why is this blue? Weird.

Wait, let me get this straight.

It's blue.

And it makes Dragon tokens.

RED Dragon Tokens.

Best. Color-Pie Bending. Card. EVER.

Why is this blue?

Who cares? You're making effing DRAGONS!

Oh my god, this card says to return the exiled cards to play under your control. Not their owners' control, yours, the controller of the enchantment. I am running this in EDH with reins of power and twist allegiance, and I am stealing everyone's shit.
"Your enchantment is gone, now give me my creatures back."
"No. Read it again."

My new deck, roughly speaking:
Ornithopter
Memnite
Phyrexian Walker
Shield Sphere
Iron Myr
Steel overseer
Protean Hulk
Flash
Insurrection
day of the dragon
Boomerang
Freed from the real
Tolarian Academy

Flash the Hulk, pull all 16 0CMC creatures and 3 of the myr. Tap the myr for red and play insurrection, then the Academy for Day of the dragons. Watch the horrified looks on everyone's faces when you swing for at least 80.

If that doesn't get me kicked out of the house, bounce the enchantment, get my creatures back, then use a steel overseer, freed from the real, and the academy to drop 20+ +1/+1 counters on the artifact creatures. Maybe add an Akroma's memorial for extra sauce.

Sadly, this can be started as early as turn 2.

It's blue because its making the illusion that creatures are dragons.

It's blue because it's transmutation-based. See Tinker, Polymorph, Mass Polymorph, Pongify, and other cards of the like. Now the fact that it makes DRAGONS... Fan-*******-tastic!!! And no ownership on the final ability... holy hell.

Play this in a Talrand instant/sorcery deck, all 20 of my 2/2 drakes get turned into 5/5 dragons. Time to die.

Conspiracy means you can blow up Day of the Dragons and keep your tokens. In fact, you can use flickering effects (such as Venser) to flick Day of the Dragons, causing your number of dragon tokens to increase with each flicker!

Worldfire after this and Bogardan Hellkite before. So mana hungry, but damn is it cool when it works.

This in a replenish deck would make some infinite loops! (Replenish this with opalescence would make this remove itself infinitely) definitely can do some cool tricks with it aside from that hard card to use but still fun

Helluva finisher in an Ally deck. They face down an army of angry flying red dragons, or they deal with the absolute shenanigans that will ensue when your board of Allies all hit the battlefield at once. Include Venser, the Sojourner for Allies shenanigans on demand.
