I really like this. It'll go as a one of directly into my standard Gruul Control deck. Great finisher.

Someone in R&D must have a Kresh the Bloodbraided Commander deck cause this is a snap add for that deck.

Hell yes it is, .Blaze., it's going straight into mine ASAP. The funniest combo in my deck to use it with will be Malignus.

Blood is amazing: a 1-sided Prey Upon that can target players. What a great way to break through a combat stalemate. And the fact that Flesh can target any graveyard is a nice bonus to the scavenge mechanic.

For an automaton,
Blightsteel Colossus sure does have some gnarly Flesh,
and the Blood is downright lethal!

@Jhyrryl - I believe the "1-sided Prey Upon" you mentioned is Soul's Fire.

Making it sorcery is a small concession for the reduced mana cost, and the package deal is... a whole lot of card.

Flesh is yet another great way to use Phyrexian Dreadnought. (cast it, sac it, and grab it's flesh to add to your favorite creature in play)

The flesh part is somewhat random and overcosted in my opinion. The blood part however is very nice.

The problem of the flesh part is following:
a) it can only exile creatures, whereas there exist also quite a number of other cards that are dangerous while in a graveyard
b) sorcery speed, you can't exile a creature in response to a reanimation spell to interrupt combos
c) mana cost. five mana in two colors is a huge amount. Compare it to cremate. It's a cantrip, instant speed, can exile any card and costs only one mana.
d) if you have no creature to put the counters on, or it has shroud or protection from green or black or whatever, then you are forced to put the +1/+1 counters on a creature your opponent controls
e) ideally you wouldn't want only any creature to put the counters on, but one that can actually make good use of the counters, such as, for example, a triskelion
f) unless you exile your own stuff, the card is quite random. Your opponent might not have any creatures. Or just token producers. Or creatures, such as most shapeshifters or graft creatures, that have a power of zero while in a graveyrad, To get some value out of it, the exiled creature must have quite a high power.

In short, by itself, the flesh part is crappy. The blood part is good enough though, so I consider it just a bonus.

I wish Blood would be reworded as "Target creature you control fights target creature or player."

@Majinkajisan I believe the regeneration would cause you to counter your own spell. So yeah, Blood is better than the example you gave.

Summon a Bloodthristed Bloodscale Prowler, attack and Bloodrush a creature onto it, then cast straight-up Blood.

Dracula ain't got SHIT on the Gruul.

@ majinara
The flesh portion isn't supposed to be graveyard hate. It's supposed to be scavenge.

This is the kind of card I want to see in pack 1 of draft. Any burn that can hit a player is great, and this one gives you the potential to hit for a ton. :)

Hmmmm...Flesh and Blood...even the NAME is urging you to put this into a Kresh the Bloodbraided

Good for getting rid of your own creatures (such as one with a stab wound on it), because you can power up your opponent's creature and then make it fight yours.

@Pick15, Actually, the only one out of that list to not hit the graveyard is the colossus, as the others hit the graveyard, and are then shuffled into your library, so if for example, you had an alchemists refuge, or quicken or perhaps hypersonic dragon, you'd be able to use this card on Emrakul or the Wurm.
