Serendib Sorcerer is going to be this bird's best friend. NOTHING'S safe from getting bounced (unless it has protection from blue--in which case it was safe from the roc already--from humans, and/or from wizards).

Wow, been a long time since I've seen a Roc.

Wow, this card seems like an absolute beating in limited. Probably one of the best uncommons in the set.

Best non-rare in the entire set. This card is just overpowered, especially in limited. I mean.. In limited many would play a 3/3 flier for 4, but with an effect such as this it is a first pick.. And it can maybe even see standard play as it is really good against many things that roams in standard right now. I mean, just the fact that it forces the opponent to return delver back to hand every turn is reason enough to play it in standard :S

I really like this.Could even be abused with things like Switcheroo and could fit well in a deck with Arctic Aven to beat face.

Hurls away mana dorks and hyper-aggro creatures since they tend to focus on power.

Proven to massively increase your chance of being able to use the phrase "Between a Roc and a hard place."

Pros like me also like that you "may" bounce a creature so you are not forced to bounce a Snapcaster Mage.

What's this? A 3/3 flier for 4 with a handy ability? In RtR?

Sure you didn't want it a 7, R&D?

A 3/3 for 4 with an upside at UNCOMMON? Azorius is brutal in limited.

@ SkyknightXi Don't forget protection from white and from birds, since the roc's ability is targeted as well.

I really like this bird's triggered ability.
It sure is powerful in limited, but i think this should also allow some sweet gimmick decks in constructed -
manipulate your opponent's creatures' toughness, or exchange control with your (toughness 2 or less) guys.
This birds' attack can get pretty funky (and it probably won't die in combat if you use him like that).

You can also create a soft lock by using animate land effects (that don't turn them into 3/3s) and bounce those.
Aside from various cards that animate all lands (which are more effectively combined with cards like Goblin Sharpshooter or Electrickery), Quirion Druid currently seems to be the only one for making this happen, though.

The chronic bouncing is quite nice-could possible be used to refill your opponent's hand in preparation for some black discard action.

I love this card's flavour text. Some creatures have a harder time not looking delicious than others.

Solid card. Especially for uncommon. Downsize and hydro surge in the deck allow this to bounce creatures that have power of 7...

Has anyone commented on how well this works with Isperia the Inscrutable? They swing at the same tine, Skymark returns a creature to its owner's hand, eliminating a blocker and making sure you know a card in their hand for Isperia's ability.
And it has flying, too.

A good card and good effect, of course, but it just becomes awkward when all your opponent's x/2 or less creatures have useful ETBs. "I *could* bounce your Coiling Oracle back to your hand... but I'd better not".

Although those kinds of politics are an extra upside in EDH and MP.

This could've been printed as a rare (and Search the City as an uncommon) and I don't think people would feel too shafted.

This is a card that, in limited, competes with Archon of the Triumvirate for picking-power. You don't even need to bounce creatures to take use this card well. a 4-cost 3/3 flyer is already dangerous.

For the future, pick this over Lyev Skyknight. Despite the lack of Detain, the extra 2 toughness goes a long way, considering Towering Indrik, Daggerdrome Imp, Vassal Soul, and Sunspire Griffin.
