Excellent token generator, and allow bigger creature to attack unhindered, while fueling graveyard tricks. Lovely.

I also think this is a very good elf that has a commanding presence on the battlefield. Pros like me will use the intimidate ability on our biggest creatures.

Why are all the non-insectoids in the Golgari Ass ugly in this set? Just fricking why. They looked badass in the original Ravnica, and now... this and Jarad. It's pathetic.

Had some great times with this guy at the prerelease. I had a game where, with the help of Corpsejack Menace, I got 41 saproling tokens. Thankfully he died by being eaten by the Golgari swarm.
Making Svogthos, Boneyard Wurm, etc intimidating with this is fun.

I had this and Lotleth Troll in a draft once, and Guildmage turns out to be the pick over troll. Uber limited card.

@oefi: Giving a blocked creature intimidate does not change how it's blocked. If, somehow, blockers were changed after being declared, then that's a different story.
At the very least, it's a slightly-hard-to-cast Bear. Add a few useful but niche abilities, and you have a candidate for a Golgari mage's two-drop.
I want to make a big creature through Scavenge, sacrifice it to this guy, then, with Blood Artist in play, run all of the saprolings at the opponent. Improbable? Maybe. Awesome? Definitely.
The great thing is, when you're done building a massive creature, if it doesn't already have evasion you can give it some with Korozda's first ability. You can also pull shenanigans with a sac outlet (like Blood Bairn) and Death's Presence to move your +1/+1 counters over to an unblocked creature, something that's fairly useful when you have a bunch of saprolings, or better harpies, in play.
Some might question the addition of the Charm to the list. The charm allows you to quickly consolidate your saprolings with Death's Presence, or regen your swarms after a swing or chum block. It's also fairly decent enchantment removal.
