One way or another, I found myself with 3 of these things at the pre-release, and they were surprisingly good. On it's own it'll block most of the things on the ground and starts beating down when you start attaching something like Spectral Fight.

This card is amazing in limited. Good early blocker for the first few turns, and then what I ended up doing later on was saccing it to Feed the Pack, with a Parallel Lives on the field. Yes, I would like four 2/2s for my 1/2 one drop.

This guy and Black Cat should have had Undying, flavorwise for 9 lives and functionally as a way of doing the graveyard recursion/token generation. A 1/2 with Undying for {W} is kind of ridiculous, but a 0/1 with Undying would be very playable at that cost. The early blocker mixed with the slightly better blocker mixed with "enters the battlefield" effects (I'm looking at you, Soul Warden) would have totally made up for the initial P/T loss.

Midnight Duelist is trying to upstage this now. But he will fail because he isn't an adorable cat.
My friend played this card once. I proceeded to mind control it, gave it spectral flight, and buffed it up with green spells. It ended up being a 10/11 flying cat that won me the game.
