At least they didn't print Jump again

"I believe I can fly...I believe I can touch the sky..." should be the flavor text

They could have added something else to make this kind of card useful, even if it had to cost more - card draw on damage to an opponent, mill cards on damage to an opponent, or shroud for enchanted creature. All blue abilities, and all more useful than Flying is alone.

Interesting reprint for limited. But for one blue I expect flying, hexproof, and unblockable with a card draw cantrip.

Still waiting for Leap to be printed in the Core Set one day.

And i think it would have made a better job for new players.
(Yeah, Wizards kinda likes telling new players how blue is THE color for flyers, but that's not what i mean:)
Like with M12's reintroduced Bloodthirst ability that teaches them to cast some cards on the second main phase, this could teach them (aside from the ovious fact to cast this before blockers are declared) to use instants on your opponent's turn. (Although a blue mage should know about that if he wants to make use of his counter spells :P)
Maybe that was even the reason why they decided to exchange Jump in the Core Set for Flight in the first pace...but Jump sucks! And cantrips are no big deal for Core Sets, especially with generic names like Leap :D
On top of that, there's still the fact that new players might get fooled into thinking Auras like these are worth something in constructed although they'll just cause card disadvantage :o

Could at least have been Shimmering Wings.

I still can't figure out why stuff like this gets reprinted. Is there some policy that a certain percentage of cards have to come from the "old stuff that isn't useful" pile? Oh, well.

@Mode:

YES. WANT LEAP. I ran it in a UG card draw deck I made, and it was fantastic.

I can't understand where all the hate for this card comes from, it's cheap, provides a useful ability and works great with student of elements.

Basic "bad card" designed to teach new players how to recognize bad cards. It looks cool, and yes it can occasionally win a game, but there are much better options. Apart from Leap as people have mentioned, it would also have been awesome if they'd reprinted Shimmering Wings instead of this, especially given that they also reprinted Mesa Enchantress and Kor Spiritdancer is briefly Standard legal with this set.

@Concerned_Bystander: Yes, this has synergy with Student of Elements, but so do Flight Spellbomb and Soaring Seacliff, either of which I would happily use instead of this. This gets a bad rating because it compares unfavorably to most cards that do similar things.

Wizards: We gave you Jump. We gave you Leap. Now we've given you permanent flying for Blue. WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US?

(permanent horsemanship would be cool)

My dog was pestering me, so I gave him a couple of these to chew on.

Probably the best use they're ever going to get. :3

I don't get what is so terrible about this card. Yeah, leap is better because of the card draw, but this is permanent so it is still useful. Also, giving a big creature evasion and the ability to block other flying creatures seems like it could be worth one mana.

Removal makes this a 2 for 1 target, but its a solid card for limited, and playable in casual. Just throw it on a Sacred Wolf

Why is this rated so low? It's nice, and can give doran flying

Evasion is nice, but aura give inherent card disadvantage if they can't come back like Rancor.
