In Limited, this is probably one of the best target for Scavenge.

less splash-able than Mourning Thrull, from a previous Ravnica set

A decent card in a race! Also works surprisingly well with Scavenge.

Not sure if this is playable, but I think pros like lotsofpoopy can make it work.

Rokhster is absolutely right, pros like me can do magical things with this imp.

As has already been mentioned, this is one of the better Scavenge targets. A cheap attacker helps if you're going to be spending a whole lot of mana anyway for Scavenge.

Obvious comparison to Vault Skirge. In exchange for no Phyrexian option and no artifact typing, you get...no artifact typing. Skirge is probably better on the whole, given that artifact hate isn't THAT common, especially not maindeck.

Agree with @.Blaze. Watered-down Vault Skirge. Still a good card, but it's been done better.

With enough scavenge cards or equipment, it's ok in limited. In constructed it obviously blows.

Comes out turn 2, and does amazing things. In Limited, I pulled 2 of these and I was happy. Perfectly costed for what it is. A great target for scavange. A game winner in a G/B deck.
However, unlikely to ever see constructed play. It dies to the common removal spell, no matter how powerful it is, along with the green flying removal spell and it is an obvious target.
5/5 for limited 3/3 generally Solid 4 card

I played Izzet in the pre-release and I gotta say this guy kicked my butt when he was in Rakdos decks. I would splash for him in limited.

Obviously inferior to cute lil' Vault Skirge 90% of the time, but still a decent card, especially in Limited. Scavenge a guy or two onto him and he becomes a real back breaker.
This card is way better than his rating. I would probably give him a 4. You can't rate him compared to Planeswalkers because is a different thing all together. Its a shame that cards like Jace have ruined people's ability to really evaluate a card's true worth.
I would say this card is really good and fills a void one might find in deck building. I would say his predecessors, Mourning Thrull and Vault Skirge, are better. In a LATERAL comparison versus other cards of his type I would say that they are 5/5 but he is easily a 4/5 by comparison.

I'd picked up 4 of these @ 10¢ ea., a cheap 1/1 flier... Put 1 in my G/B constructed deck in the event of 1/1 flying tokens, with a little something of it's own if the tokens don't show. 2nd game against this one guy, it showed up in opening hand. Turn 2- Daggerdrome Imp Turn 3- Nothing else to do, play Dark Favor (another 10¢ card), swing for 4, I gain 4 life minus 1 for Dark Favor. A 7 point spread. Turn 4 swing for 4 again, I gain 4 life. Another 8 point spread. It wasn't until turn 5 that my opponent managed to do anything about it. By then Imp had opened a 15 point spread he never recovered from.
Ya, maybe Vault Skirge was better, but it's not presently Standard legal. Ya, maybe it's easy to kill, but my opponent had seen some of my other critters and had to be asking himself if he wanted to spend one of his burn spells on this innocent-looking little 1/1 flier, or save it for something like Deathrite Shaman or Dreg Mangler, or worse...
With flying and lifelink, Imp's easily as good as Tormented Soul, which has a 3.653 rating as I write. Maybe better. I give it a 3.5, but, as mentioned elsewhere, in good company Imp can really shine.
Cute little critter; think I'll keep him.
I'm pleased to see in the current block that it is possible to build an assortment of powerful and very aggressive decks relatively inexpensively. The "May the player with the most expensive deck win" philosophy had been getting a bit tired.

3.5/5. A 1/1 flier with lifelink for 2. In limited this is a threat. Constructed may run this with pump spells in aggro creature builds.

Mourning Thrull reprint would have been better. I mean this card does nothing better than Mourning Thrull.

I like this creature. It's one of those pick away at your opponent's life while you gain...until the game's pace picks up speed.

This little guy plus scavenge won me a few games, during my last Tournament. I will definitely be adding this to my aggro black/red deck.

I kinda wish he costed {B} and made you lose 2 life when he came in, so he'd be like a weird non-arty version of the skirge. I realize 2 abilities is ridiculous for 1 most of the time, but I feel like losing 2 life *may* make up for it; afterall skirge didn't break anything, is colorless if you want, and has the option to pay full cost to boot.
It could've been done for {B} and a lose life clause! Lifelink + lose-life clause is such good design to me!
@Vividice i agree except I *like* that it's not white and I like that it has better art :D
That said thrulls are cool so..

Mourning Thrull and Vault Skirge(artifact is actually worse but the turn 1 drop more than makes up for it) are indeed strictly better but when you consider this card in set and in standard it's hard to compete with it's effectiveness, especially once you've had to play against this card in really any deck it can draft into or get included in standard.
When it rotates out of standard this beccomes one of a group of extremely threatening black lifelink ping, as a 2 drop with flying this would be ok, as a 2 drop with flying and lifelink that isn't an artifact makes it pretty impressive. If this card doesn't have life in the same decks that are playing Mourning Thrull and Vault Skirge in modern and extended someone is missing a great opportunity at consistency in boarding threats.

Obviously the reason to run this instead of Vault Skirge is so that as you play it you can shout MAD RAKD: WELCOME TO THE DAGGERDROME.

This card is kinda under-rated give your comments, but I respect your individual playing styles.
For me, I couldn't ask for a better utility card in my mono black - I did some searching and as it turns out, you'd be hard pressed to find something better aside from those you guys mentioned.
I run two of these in a deck with four Lashwrithes.
In the end, its more about deck construction not card epicness - a card can be mean and such, but that doesn't count for much if you can't really use it to its full potential does it?
4/5 for this card
