Pros like me will be using this often in our green decks. Flyers can sometimes be a problem for green, but not with this beast around!

Giant Spider is a great card. TBH, I would rather play it over Hill Giant any day (though I like the big vanilla giant well enough too). Thanks for bringing this Limited jobber back.

I'm the first to admit I'm a vorthos kind of guy but it upsets me soo much that this is the first ever creature to receive reach just for being tall.
Krosan Cloudscraper can't block flyers, Progenitus can't block flyers. This guy, a functional reprint of giant spider, can do it. He is clearly shorter than all the buildings he's next to.

This wouldn't even have galled me as bad as it does if it was in a block that wouldn't have been happy with ol' giant spider, but giant spider fits so much better with Golgari, and this guy doesn't exactly shout Selesnya either. And no one will play it, so clearly it exists just to annoy me. >.>

But seriously, i'm not exactly sure why Giant Spider couldn't have been reprinted. It wasn't printed in M13, so it's not like WotC was appeasing to the haters of Fling and Angel's Mercy for printing a card in a block adjacent to the core set it was in.

Not only that, but as we see, spider's exist in Ravnica.
