I really love this card, but aside from beefing up saprolings, I'm really not sure what to do with it. Combo with Timmy for a one sided abyss?

This card is pretty good both ways. Not only can you makes weak creatures 3/1 but also makes an opponents heavy creatures a 3/1 as well.

I find this card to work well with boosting up my small rares like Noble, or even my commons like Deft because she can be a 3/1, flying, shroud, and first strike. And, if you have Knight of New Alara, Deft would get +2/+2. You can even try a combo like dropping an opponents creature to a 3/1 flier then doing a simple 1 damage to it. Ya those feather counters and bribery counters are something else.

Abochavez: "...or even on my commons like Deft..." Sorry, but Shroud = no feather counter for you.
Combo-happy card. Easy to work with snipers and for grabbing evasion. Kind of squishy itself, but nicely inexpensive.
The most interesting combo card in the reborn set, at least thats my opinion. My instinct teels me that this card will be seen a lot in standard which seems pretty obvious; who doesn't like making 3/1 flyers?

wouldn't this do good in a tokens deck? turn your 1/1 tokens into 3/1 fliers (4/2 with a glorious anthem in play)

4 stars. Really interesting design with possible offensive and defensive uses. Pretty beastly in limited to turn bomb rares into 3/1 fliers, and to boost your own guys to fly over for the win. The body is small and fragile but that is obviously a necessity for the card's effect. The best part about this guy is his mana cost: 3 for this kind of ability is really fantastic.

Wicked design here. Everything about the card just meshes. I especially like that he has the same stats he gives out. Perhaps this Mimeomancer was first a ground-dweller before learning his nifty little trick and using it on himself first. My only issue with it is MTGO related because the trigger happens each turn regardless of you wanting to use it or not, and after a few turns you don't want to use it too often. But that's the only way they can do it.

In my opinion, this is an example of a perfectly designed card from a flavor and fun standpoint. It requires no additional commitment after the initial cast (except remembering to use the ability), yet still does something fun an dinteresting every turn. The flavor text fits perfectly with what it does, and in multiplayer games it can be used to great effect to help or hinder your opponents as you desire.
5/5 for being such a fun card, I doubt this will be a powerhouse in standard or anything but still a 4/5 for usefulness.

Anyone know how this card would interact with Kangee, Aerie Keeper?

Nevermind- the affect stays. But, if the counter is moved to a second creature, then neither first or second are affected.

It can kill creatures with -1/-1 counters on them, and it can turn fatties into squishies. Every time I play this guy, he turns the battle in my favor. Awesome card.

Does the creature keep its type and its abilities? For my part, the creature is a 3/1 flying creature, that's all! It is no more (for example) an artifact creature, or a human soldier, etc; it doesn't have its abilities anymore, like: pay 1 and tap target creature, or all artifacts you control have shroud, etc. The targeted creature becomes only a 3/1 with flying creature without type, without abilities, without color. Am I right?
Thanks

Is it possible to stack this with Godhead of Awe so that your otherwise 1/1 creatures come up 3/1?
I'm a little fuzzy on how stacking passive effects works.
Such a fun card! And surprisingly good, too. 3 damage in the air for 3 mana is quite above the curve. Sure, he's bad as a blocker as he'll pretty much always trade, but that's not what you want him to do. His 3/1 counters on creatures works amazing with the new ally mechanic. 4/2 kazandu blademaster with flying on top of his vigilance and first strike? Yes please! Of course, turning the mighty baneslayer in a 3/1 is also pretty fun.
His main drawback is that he's a one toughness guy, which is kinda bad. Luckily this only matters when there's a pinger like Tim or his red brother in play.

Four of these, four of Emeria Angels, some Paradox Hazes, Hurricanes and landgiving advantages = massive airforce with army of 3/1 birds. With many enemies, use hurricane X = 1, with less enemies just keep attacking.
EDIT: Oh, and as this creature is 3/1 too, some Unsummons or something like that is needed.

This guy could be really fun with Eldrazi spawn, giving you 3/1 flyers that can sac for mana. Some really nice synergy with Sharding Sphinx as well. Create thopter tokens and then convert them to birds :D

Putting feather counters onto unfriendly fatties = setting up for some skeet shooting! You have baloths? Sphinx of the Steel Wind? Baneslayer Angel? What's that? Emrakul? Oh, you didn't cast it, you say just played it through polymorph or piper? Ba-bye!

this guy is great! can pimp out your 1/1s, but even better, turn your opponent's fatties into 3/1 wussies.
I agree that this is one of the best designed cards in Magic. It's right where it should be in terms of power and mana cost, it creates new options and rewards intelligent play.

Combine this with some first strike capability would be nice. Turning Viashino Slaughtermaster into a 3/1 with doublestrike would be fantastic. That said, I think the best application is turning an Eldrazi into a 3/1 skeet counter, and then shooting it down with a Stun Sniper.

Yeah this card is not constructed worthy, but I have a special place for it as it was one of my first cards. On a sidenote, you can put those feather counters on an opponent's creature. I'm sure you would prefer a Baneslayer to be a 3/1.

Too bad the creature won't become a bird as well, then we'd have a reason to play Airborne Aid over Distant Melody in a tribal deck. (Although Airborne Aid might sometimes still be advantageous if your opponent plays the manabirds.)

This guy rocks, and I don't throw that word around all too often. I had a bird deck before rotation with Squadron Hawks, this guy, Gravitational shift and other nonsense. It was so cool but I never got to play it in constructed. He's nifty though, and the use of feather counters is awesome. My love for this set knows no bounds. 4/5

He's still a 3/1 flyer to 3. That's good in itself.
Add in the ability to make a Fugitive Wizard useful, and I don't think it's that bad.
With Mystic Decree out, you're just making creatures 3/1s.

4.5/5 from me. 3 mana control creature while also enabling buffs to small creatures of your own.
