run with Vampire Hexmage and Illusions of Grandeur. You will only have to pay the upkeep cost once or twice. This card is only useful if you are losing.

@Mode :: Um, this is actually capable of achieving a win or a draw depending on life totals. Divine Intervention is only capable of achieving a draw.

Utterly ridiculous card, since there are so many easier ways to win in seven turns, and if you're not careful you could end up losing (or, bizarrely, having a draw) anyway. Naturally, I loved it to death and built a deck around it.

Actually, this card is also capable of achieving a lose...
However, something like this should work: Turn1: A 1CMC defender. Something like Goldenglow Moth Turn2: Vampire Hexmage Turn3: Douse in Gloom Turn4: Celestial Convergence Turn5: win, if the opponent didn't burn you too much... But against red maybe you would wait a little more in order to gain some more live via defensive creature, that would bring you a victory even without Celestial Convergence...

You can dramatically increase the 'clock' with cards like Vampire Hexmage (would enable it to go off the next turn) or Hex Parasite (with only 4 mana available, would get it down to 2 counters after the next upkeep).
Then all you need is some early lifegain, and congrats! =P

combos well with renounce. Just sac your permenats right before the last counter is removed.

So basically, this card gives you a week until the apocalypse. Neat.

There are plenty of ways to end a Magic game in a draw. If something does damage to you and your opponent at the same time (say, Earthquake or Pestilence), that can be a draw. If you both have empty libraries and something causes you to both draw at the same time (Jace Beleren, maybe), that can be a draw. If you both have Platinum Angels keeping you alive while you're both at negative life or >10 poison counters and something kills both angels at once, that's a draw. Anything that causes loss conditions to trigger for both players at once is a draw.
Plus there's also draw by infinite loop, but that doesn't come up very often.

To win with cards like this is always fun. However, the combos you need are a bit too slow for eternal formats; this card is great in multiplayer!

This, like so many other alternate-win-condition cards, is a crutch. 0/5.
OR Combo A + Celestial Convergence + Oblivion Ring #3 + Vampire Hexmage + Oblivion Ring + 4 + Some way that taps with haste to do damage to everyone else + Copy Enchantment #1
*It's impossible to have exactly 40, 50, and 1 life at the same time. That's why I'm not mentioning Test of Endurance, and why you can't automatically win in EVERY way POSSIBLE at the same time. We will also not bother trying to Infect our opponents on top of this....whatever...thingy.*
1. Worldfire sets you up for Barren Glory and Near-Death Experience. The Oblivion Ring combo will ensure they survive and come back. We'll be abusing Oblivion Ring with Copy Enchantment for the 3rd way.
2. Karn can reset the game, in Commander you start with 40 life, Vampire Hexmage can remove the counters on this, Karn removes those 3 permanents and your start with them all at the beginning of the game. If you have Karn remove some 4th thing that allows you to instantly bring everyone down to 39, you'll have more life, a Celestial Convergence with no counters, and exactly 40 life with a Felidar Sovereign.
3. (4. This is the dumbest thing you can do ever. You might as well throw in a Tinker, a way to bring back and cast Tinker again, a Door to Nothingness a Mox Lotus, and a Sol Ring to sac twice to your Tinkers with the artifact bringer-backer-thingy ON TOP of what I'm about to write if you're doing this in a Duel):
OK. Here goes.
Copy Enchantment gives us virtually 8 Oblivion Rings. We can use Oblivion Rings to set up our Worldfire so that we return: Near-Death Experience (not using Soveriegn for this one, BUT..) Barren Glory Vampire Hexmage Celestial Convergence (that's 4 Oblivion Rings used up) if the thing you are going to ping everyone with is a permanent, say an Izzet card that can Overload from Return to Ravnica? or a spell with Overload on an Isochron Scepter? you can exile it with ANOTHER Oblivion Ring by Copy Enchantment. You can bring that back at the same time as the rest, and it will bring everyone to 0, and you will be at 1 courtest of Worldfire, and you will win by:
Having more life (CC) Having no cards and no permanents (BG) Having 1 life (NDE) AND everyone being a 0 life (Win)
If you used some retarded thing to splice that Doorway to Nothingness combo in, then you can probably use this with Shaharazad and Mindslaver.
Hell, why don't we throw Griselbrand and Necropotence into this instead of Tinker, so that our color identities can be in Kaalia of the Vast and we can lose ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE of our friends at once??

It's false that in 2 player matches earthquake or simultaneous effects cause a draw. In a 1v1 match, the player triggering the effect loses first. So if you're both at 5 and you earthquake or pestilence for 5, you both die, but you lose. In multiplayer it doesn't matter as much as long as 1 player survives.

Stay mono white and use Hex Parasite if you can afford the small 2 life cost. Otherwise throw in black for more good stuff like Debt to the Deathless.
