You know how, in some Commander games, there's one guy who becomes the most unpopular because he uses Armageddon or Wrath of God to keep everyone down?

You don't want to be that guy.

This is good because each time you play the commander format you'll leave with one less friend.

A great card for Archenemy, where you can target your sole opponent and all your teammates will get a dragon.

Death by Dragons.
Well, at least that's kind of an epic way to die, right?

Just imagine your grandson talking about it:
"Do you have a granddad?"
"No."
"Me not either. Mine died of old age several years ago."
"My warmest condolences. Speaking of warm, my gramps died through Dragons!"

I love this card but I'm not inclined to play it. I've found that more often than not, even when I play funny decks, I end up getting attacked first.
Maybe in Two headed giant? I don't know.

Fun with Pyromancer Ascension. It becomes a slightly beefier Broodmate Dragon. ^^

It's in my PA deck these days due to its use as a sorcery but creature-based finisher, and works well alongside Rite of Replication too. Ok, I now have two 5/5 flying dragons. Next turn, let's play a kicked RoR and make it 12 5/5 flying dragons.

I love that this came in the same deck as homeward path... Dragons for everyone! haha, in all seriousness tho, i need those back.

Sarkhan Vol: I cast Form of My Lunch on the table.

Ajani: What the crap do you mean, 'Form of My Lunch?!'

Jace: I can read his mind. He's going to--!

Elspeth: Silence! Nobody likes plot spoilers, Jace. Or you for that matter. So shut up.

Sarkhan: As I was saying-- there's good news and bad news. Good news: you each get a Dragon token. I'm so nice. :)

Tezzeret: And the bad news?

KARRTHUS: This is the part where 'Form of My Lunch' comes up....

@orisiti - homeward path wouldnt work, as the tokens came into play under your opponents control, and are therefore controled and owned by your opponents, not you. if they came into play under your control, then given to your opponents, then it would work. shame, that would be a nice (read: nasty) combo.

Strange observation on the art: Those are the designs they used for D&D dragons.
The dragon in the foreground is a Red Dragon. http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/MM35_gallery/MM35_PG76.jpg

The dragon on the left has the head (but not the wings) of a Brass Dragon.

I have the feeling that this art was supposed to have been used for D&D but ended up getting used for M:TG.

6cc for a 5/5 flying vanilla dragon, fair price. Very strategic in multiplayer as well. Everyone is going to get a 5/5 in the sky but 1 guy. It leaves that 1 guy vulnerable to everyone elses 5/5 in the sky.

if you have 13RedRedRed (probably happen in commander). First be a good guy by casting this, giving let say 3 dragons to others.. then cast Dragonstorm, search Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund
and Dragon Tyrant ... attack! that is DEATH BY DRAGONS literally! :D

I really don't think this should have been targeted...the idea of being unable to exclude someone because they're hexproof or have protection from red (Seht's Tiger) seems silly.

Oh, also: "In response, Gather Specimens"

I'm not a big fan of this card in my Scion of the Ur-dragon deck. While it may be flavorful, if i have a dragon i want it to be the ruler of the skies, flying uncontested, not sharing it with 2-4 others.

Assuming you use this on a person who is currently winning and everyone attacks him until he is no longer a threat. Then what? At least in my playgroup people will be afraid that if they leave themselves open others will take advantage of it, so the end result will be no dragons attacking, which is not flavorful at all.

Add in the expensive cost and i will settle for simply adding another dragon to the deck instead. This way i get all of the advantage and will be able to use graveyard shenanigans to boot.

Even in 1v1, paying 6RedRed for a 5/5 flying dragon isn't a bad deal. The added mutliplayer potential of this just happens to make it hilarious though.

@Bongripper420: What?... It's a terrible deal. 8 mana for a 5/5 flyer?... What world are you living in? This card is only useful in multiplayer and barely that.

The combo of this and Karrthus is one of the things that makes me hate that Venser, the Sojourner is white and blue. Yes, those colors and blink colors and make the most sense flavor wise and everything. But so many awesome combos seem to be in the other combos. Conjurer's Closet just isn't the same.

The most fun moment to occur with this card is when another player copies it. That's when the targeted player realises that the world really IS out to get him.

You know that person with the obscene general that everyone is frustrated with?
Here's your answer.

@Lifegainwithbite: But this card only costs six mana. BongRipper420 just misstated the casting cost.

Death By Dragons shares an acronym with Don't Be Douchey.

It helps to remind players of this when choosing your target.
