Actually i screams put me in a soldier deck and somehow either make red, or put creatures into play.

Very reasonably priced, and he gets better with pretty much any Equipment of Aura that increases power. Loxodon Warhammer for a 4/2 double striking, trampling lifelinker? Yes please! (In fact, I can't think of a better Equipment to put on him, besides maybe a Sunforger to make him 5/2 instead.)

I've dominated a few casual games by getting Scourge of the Nobilis on him on turn 3, he hits for 6 damage and you gain 6, then on turn 4 he hits for 14 damage and you get 14 life. I have yet to see a turn 3-4 creature that can handle this guy. 5/5
Pump him with Balduvian Rage when your opponent leaves him unblocked.

No one likes the Human creature type, we are playing a fantasy game! Soldier is all ready a white type, make this guy a Goblin Soldier or Elemental Soldier and now we are talking.

I use this guy with Destructive Urge enchanted and paired with a Goblin Tunneler. It's hard to get it right, especially against a burn deck, but when it works it's pretty hilarious. Two lands destroyed every turn. =P
If you needed to do a board reset, and had the mana for it, you could combine the above with Razia's Purification. You wouldn't even need the Goblin Tunneler, so you could save something else instead, all the meanwhile preventing your opponent from regaining virtually any land while you casually rebuild.

Why the hate on the artwork? Looks like he's just finished someone off around the corner..pretty badass IMO. Nice memories playing this guy in a boros soldier deck, ran Taste for Mayhem with him for awhile, always fun.

I'm curious what Innistrad's Human tribe will come up with. That one's , so splashing red might become a nice idea for this guy in Modern/Legacy/Casual. Mayjor of Avabruck would be one reason so far. (Then again since we're talking about the most common creature type, A LOT of humans will provide reasons to splash colors. But i'm getting off-topic, so i'll better end my comment here.)

one of the quickest ways to spread Double Strike with Concerted Effort.
Other Double Strike cards are either not permanent, or cost more mana. Fireshrieker is about as good as this in a Concerted Effort deck, though.

Not only is Boros Swiftblade a great target for Scourge of the Nobilis as people have said, it is the BEST target for that spell in the game! Unlike Hearthfire Hobgoblin, Boros Swiftblade curves perfectly into Scourge, and can end the game by turn 4 easily if left unblocked. Even if they do block it, you still end up gaining a ton of life.
