I recently picked up the Rakdos bloodsport deck and at first thought I bought a deck I wouldnt really use. Now after a month and trying it out I love the mechanics of hellbent. Taste for mayhem went great with the demonic jesters that came in my deck and and I was able to bring the pain rather quickly with the card. I hope that they will bring more cards with hellbent to the game. Its great for people who like to play with a little risk!

I like this card, becase it CAN make my deck win on turn 2, (without disruption)

Turn 1: Lay Mountain and play Goblin Guide, then exile Simian Spirit Guide to enchant it with Taste for Mayhem, and Swing for 4.

Now you should have 3 cards in hand.

Turn 4: Lay mountain, use 2 mountains and another Spirit Guide to cast Ball Lightning, and you should have 1 card in your hand (that you drew this turn). Now you can play your Fireblast, saccing your 2 mountains and putting your opponent on 12, as well as making Goblin Guide a 6/2, now swing with both your 6 power creatures for the win!

It never happens, but 1 mana for 6 damage going somewhere isn't bad, I think this card should be rated higher. 4.0 for me.

good card for casual red burn decks, since you usually have no hand anyway. Powerful with ball lightning.

by having no hand, i mean by turn 4-5 =P

A decent aura in Red, seeing how lots of burn decks are great at emptying their hands.

Kurraga has right idea with using the spirit guide i knew the spirit guide was good when i saw him, when i tested him he went beyond expectations. but bonus he gets you closer to hellbent. I was leaning on a boros swiftblade or viashino slaughtermaster in my deck idea. slightly different none the same.

In-block, this owned Limited with the likes of Flaring Flame-Kin. A decent, cheap enchantment that can potentially net you 4 or more damage for a single Red. While nowhere near as good as something like Rancor in constructed, nevertheless this is quite a decent power booster.
