Nice to see this card outside the Mirrodin block so that lovely activation cost is actually in color. Just look at those sexy mana symbols. You know when they all get together, they'll do something awesome. Making your opponent lose instantly? Sure, that's awesome.

I had this in my sliver deck with Mirari's Wake as a secret weapon... worked awesomly.

Rude Awakening + any (permanent's ability) untapping card + the ten mana needed to play both Rude Awakening and Door to Nothingness = ONE TURN INSTA KILL.

Also, in multiplayers, just use a Myr Retriever to get it back. Attack the enemy with a souped up (and trampling) Myr Retriever and another either dies or blocks and brings back the Door to Nothingness! ^_^ I love evil plans, even when they don't work out every time.

I have developed a hatred of Ivory Mask.

I prefer it in multiplayer to single player. Once you have the mana to activate it, nobody's going to think about destroying it or attempting to kill you.

I wish it read, "Destroy target player," although this could get Wizards sued when violence ensues and players claim they were just following the game's rules.

I realise that the mana cost for this ability should be prohibitive - Is it a bad thing that I can think of at least 3 different ways to get it in under 5 turns? I play this game too much.....

Obviously fun, but.....Stifle?

Too much effort into getting it to work to be good, but definitely a fun, if unwieldy, casual card.

Lol, Mindslaver or Sorin Markov. But probably Mindslaver.

And I suppose the un-version of this card wouldn't simply exile target player, but blink them. Which would be more insane, as they'd have to return to the game with all cards they own shuffled back into their library and a hand of 7 cards in a Lich's Mirror sort of scenario.

Toss this in a deck with Mycosynth Lattice and the price for it becomes much more manageable

I like the Composite Golem/Nim Deathmantle infinite mana combo to power this thing to victory.

I love how this card looks. Everything about it is pure awesome.

And the colored mana symbols make it just that much better!

@GracefulInferno: Lol, you just made my day...now I gotta think up good Floyd puns to match you!

@TheHandyMan: Uh, if you can get {WWUUBBRRGG}, you deserve to win the game! Is Progenitus or Emrakul, the Aeons Torn a hollow victory because it's almost a sure win? Do you play with decks with Chimney Imp and Sorrow's Path or something?

Anyways, I would use this just to target myself and say, "I lost the game"

My favorit thing to do with this card is that when you have it in play (if your fighting more than one person) have a Phyrexian Metamorph on a Prototype Portal then you can just copy almost anything in play once a turn and if you have mycosynth lattice out you can copy anything.

apparently, before this card's rulings were ironed out, a guy pointed three tables down and made a random player lose the game. serious. the judges had to allow it.

Must be quite fun to have this one up in EDH, or in any multiplayer. Keep the mana ready, and watch the other players kill each other as they know they cannot touch you without facing deadly consequences.

Well, unless there's a Krosan Grip in someone's hand...

Yeah, and apparently when 'Counterspell' first came out, before the rules were ironed out, a guy tried to counter a spell three tables down. The judges had to allow it.

I once had a conversation that went like this:
Me: "Hey, you heard of Door to Nothingness? For one mana of each color, you pretty much win the game."
My Friend: "Mmm."
Me:"So, which would you rather play? This, or Progenitus?"
My Friend: "Progenitus."
Me:"..."

This would actually go pretty well in my five-colored deck that uses green/red as its base. If only I could get rid of a few more forests and mountains to put in the extra island, plain, and swamp without hurting my ramp.

I was going to say that this might be easier to use with Celestial Dawn but it seems they have changed the ruling on Celestial Dawn from the printed version where all mana symbols everywhere were White.

I think my favorite part about this card is the fact that it comes in tapped. Because if you had a card that required two sources of all mana, and 5 extra colorless, and had the mana to play it and tap it in the same turn, it would be just unfair if your opponent didn't have a chance to fight back, right? Like, not counting those first 15+ turns...

This card is both funny, stupid, lame and awesome all rolled into one!

The whole "target player loses the game" cracks me up every time I read it. The mana cost is just so rediculous the card is usually dismissed.

It enters the battlefield tapped, so opponents have ONE TURN to get rid of it, assuming you have the mana. Only an imbicile would play it early and leave it just sitting there because as soon as your opponent sees you've almost got that last mana, he will burn it. Play it AFTER you have it so he is like OH NOES!

And if you have WhiteWhiteBlueBlueBlackBlackRedRedGreenGreen, you deserve to win the game. Actually no, you don't win, your opponent LOSES!!!! Talk about "YOU LOSE"....

Nothing like this card in the Metallic Dreams Planeschase deck in multiplayer when you do actually have the mana. The feeling of power being able to choose someone's fate with one move is priceless, and so is the feeling of having everybody beg for their lives. "Who shall I end today"? Mind you, out of the 100 or so games ive played with that deck, I've only used it TWICE. So I wouldn't count on it.

The other hilarious thing about it is that it makes "target opponent" lose the game AT INSTANT SPEED!!! Hahaha! You can just have it sit there until you decide to make "target opponent" lose, In a duel they would just concede but everybody will hold their breath in a multiplayer game. And if someone goes to burn it you can just activate it!

5/5 for usefulness, hey, you'll win the... I mean your opponent will LOSE the game XD
5/5 for humor. Its the only card ever printed that has a targeted player losing ability XD
2/5 For versatility, can only be used in a WUBRG deck
1/5 for reliability. Just costs too much and its too varied. you need TWO of every color. Sometimes I have a hard time getting two of ONE mana. You'll usually die before it happens.
3/5 total
