Not sure why the text doesn't just say "You may search your library for one Storm Crow and take it into your hand." What else would you get?
And why shuffle your deck? It's 60 Storm Crows. How you played Demonic Tutor is beyond me.

Strong effect, low cost. Really amusing when used to get a swamp.
Outside of Vintage where Vampiric Tutor dominated, this is the best search card in all of magic. It's two mana, splashable, no drawbacks, does not take up your next draw, just straightforward 1 for 1 card advantage.

I was, at one point, so far ahead in a game, that ised the most hilarious combo ever. Dark ritual into dark ritual. I then cast demonic tutor, pulled demonic tutor, then pulled that off for a demonic tutor. Then I pulled out phage. And proceeded to sneak attack.

Alright amigos, now that it was re-released a few years ago in Angels vs Demons, lets not forget that this card is *vintage only*. That should be a clear indicator of its power level, and as such it should be by and large mostly, if not entirely avoided in casual MTG. Yes, its the overall power of the deck that matters, not the power of the individual cards - however, a vintage-only power-level card like this gives a big boost, and shouldn't be required for a balanced deck. If your deck *needs* that kind of boost, you should work at fixing the deck rather than relying on vintage-only cards. If you still want this effect in a legacy-legal way, you can pay a little more and/or have a drawback (Diabolic Intent, Diabolic Tutor, Beseech the Queen, Grim Tutor).
Being able to find any card in your deck for 2 mana is too strong for casual. Don't be 'that guy' people!
@JackTheStripper: erm... unless you had something like a Stifle handy, if you popped Phage out via Sneak Attack her trigger would cause you to lose the game, seeing as you didn't cast her from your hand.

This card is ridiculously powerful. Tutor anything? For the low cost of ? It's pretty much broken. Actually, scratch that, it is broken. But the utility it offers is incredible. It goes without saying that this is the best tutor ever printed.
I hate to say it, I use it in my mono- EDH. There's not a whole lot of justification, either, except that it's so obscenely good. I usually pull some large creature (like Avatar of Woe) or a board sweeper (like Decree of Pain). Or I can hit Reiver Demon and do both. Late game, if I've got a lot of mana (which usually happens if my Cabal Coffers/Caged Sun/Gauntlet of Power, etc. are still around) I can pull Death Cloud. of course, with that much mana I usually just cast my commander, Maga, and finish someone off.

I'm actually sorta surprised you can find any printing of this card for <= $10 a pop, this is not only a classic tutor card, but a level of great that needs no explanation. Seriously, splashable CMC tutor, no drawbacks, no life loss, no revealing, etc. This is insanely good.

Casual is more how your group defines it - some people play casual with pre-6th rules Magic, some people play competitively amongst themselves but only Standard or Modern legal, others play vintage and legacy only, others play with everything - even un-set cards, while some hold a strict ban list, there is no one size fits all, general rule that would allow such a statement of "this should only be used here, not there".
The only mystery here is "How is this not 5 stars?" Its effect is so profound, the act of searching your library for something is still called 'tutoring' 20 years later.
