@AngelxLena
Why would it need to blaze a path so someone could come and destroy everything? Isn't that a bit redundant?

I got a couple Eldrazi today, no rares by the way unfortunately but a couple uncommon and common, and they FEEL rare! Does anyone else feel like that? haha I just feel like they are so epic! All of the eldrazi rock, and this one is great too! Hard to play but worth trying!

As with most of the big Eldrazzi, this guy is really scary and a massive target for removal. Hard to get out, but usually devastating if you're able to.

Definitely my favorite non-legendary Eldrazi. One, it has Annihilator 3, which is amongst the highest you can get. Two, even after they've sac'd three permanents, they are still going to have to block (and lose) three more creatures just to stop this guy for one turn. Also, that last ability makes him the Eldrazi equivalent of Phyrexian Colossus, which is a bonus point in its favor.

Yep, this guy is truly worthy of its title, "Pathrazer"

This dude costs as much as Ulamog himself!

Channel that guy out on second turn, you win the game.

That card is truly evil in an old Legacy reanimation deck! Besides being able to attack very fast with it in that kind of deck (on turn 3 for example) without any real possibility for the opponent to block it (because odds that he has three or more creatures are low), you can destroy almost everything he has on the battlefield!

Amazing, this would've been printed rare in any other set. Now I understand why there are so few Eldrazi rare creatures when uncommons and mythics are so awesome. Also, I finally have a definitive example of when higher rarities do not always equal better cards.

@Tommy8989: hilarious.
this guy is a great starter Eldrazi!
costs about thirty cents, find a way to cheat him into play, say hoorah repeatedly

Man, I hope magic isn't gonna be all about only decks with Eldrazi, mana ramp and removal from now on...

I've had a chance to use all the big eldrazi, and this is truly one of the worst. Ulamog's Crusher is more efficient, and has just as much unblockable power with a simple distortion strike. Also, for 11 mana, why not just play Ulamog himself?

Pick Ulamog's Crusher or Artisan of Kozilek over this in draft, and just play Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre in constructed.

This is the only Eldrazi (other than Emrakul) with any kind of evasion, all the rest can be chumped and rely on their annihilator to make them serious threats.

Great for use with Tainted Strike and Doubling Season, since the first mentioned card gets a creature +1/+0 and the infect ability until end of turn, and the other card doubles the amount of Poison Counters that produce. This would get the power of Pathrazer of Ulamog to 10, and the fact it cannot be blocked except by 3 or more creatures (the Annihilator 3 ability will help) will make your opponent lose, since at least 10 Poison Counters are needed to make a player lose.

@RareCardHunter Doubling season actually has no effect on poison counters, or even on infect. Doubling season only doubles counters put on permanents you control, and players aren't permanents, and you don't control your opponent's creatures (obviously). That said, it's still quite a bit of poison coming at them, which will certainly do some damage

How appropriate. The flavor text fits people who play eldrazi cards too.

Obviously if you have Ulamog or Kozelik, play them over this, but they're Mythic and really expensive. If you're not doing tournaments this guy is fine.

The reasons you would choose this over Ulamog's Crusher are varied, but there's a few straightforward ones.

Believe it or not, sometimes you like to block, and Ulamog's crusher is occupied on any turn but the first.
The evasion pretty much prevents chump blocking.
He annihilates for one more than Ulamog's crusher.

Overall, more versatile, but a bit slower.

Having seen what an opponent's well placed, kicked Rite of Replication can do, I will never play this card again. Or Shivan Dragon for that matter.

In my experience, the best eldrazi candidate for early-game reanimation. Also one of the best eldrazi for attacking alongside another eldrazi. Even more than the 9/9 body might indicate, this is a huge resource-drain for your opponent.

The Pathrazer is a finisher in my green mana-excel deck. You simply can't contend with annilator 3 unless you get rid of him ASAP. Forcing a triple block is just gravy on the mashed oppoment that will soon be made, thanks to him.

I just got this along with Ulamog's Crusher and Bear Umbra in one booster. Bear Umbra works to get both out in one turn, if you have the 11 mana, by attacking after you summon one, untapping all lands, and summoning the other. This card especially works well with my deck, as I have "Familiar Ground" (All creatures you control can only be blocked by one creature each), so Pathrazer is literally indestructible. So fun, so easy.

My brother put a kitesail on him and swung for the win. I was laughing so hard I didn't even care.

Frighteningly effective assuming you cheat him into play, of course. He's nearly impossible to block thanks to his Annihilator 3 and blocking limits, and games won't last too long once he's on the field.

I don't hardcast this, usually. I'll just pull a couple of these out of the library with Mass Polymorph, sacking Eldrazi spawn.

You can't have two Ulamogs in play, but you can have two Pathrazers.

I finally found a use for my Braids, Conjurer Adept! This sucka will cause them to sack 3 things and if they block usually kill 3 things, which almost negates the fact that Braids gives them free stuff too.

This guy is one of the best Eldrazi to reanimate. With old school cards like entomb and animate dead this guy comes out on turn two and is swinging by turn three. If they cant remove right away they probably never will. However It that Betrays seems like a much more diabolical card to reanimate.

Not the most powerful of Eldrazi, but the fact he somehow is so big you can only block him with three creatures makes the Johnny in me squeal.

Seriously, why does it take three guys to block this dude and not Progenitus? Or Kozilek? Is this the sneaky Eldrazi?

So I came back to magic a short time ago. I saw this card and I pretty much sh*t my drawers. Then I saw other infinite butchers and flying spaghetti monsters and I knew it was time to pick up the cards and start trading again. 5/5 for its captivating appearance and being an absolutely fat fatty with a few great abilities that set it above so many other fatties.

@Jannissary

Well, Progenitus has protection from everything, so it cant be blocked...
I like that you can use this in reanimator-deck unlike other eldrazi.

Could easily be a rare....... but it's an Eldrazi. Apparently the colorless are beyond rarity.

I imagine flavor wise, this guy is very agile. He makes another path for himself when something tries to get in his way. Thats why you need 3 to block him, to block all escape routes forcing him to fight.

Very solid and efficient creature!

As soon as this hits the board, it absolutely must be dealt with immediately. The moment it attacks, your opponent runs the risk of being 6-for-1ed, and if they do not have enough creatures to block, then it simply gets through and crushes their face. One of the best non-legendary eldrazi creatures.

This card reminds me of the Hoth scene in Star Wars V. All these Kor are trying to rope the thing, but they didn't bring enough speeders to really tie up all those multi-handed limbs.

Kind of slow...if you're actually hard casting it.

...why are you actually hard casting it?

Sometimes what makes a card good isn't what its effect is, but what it isn't. It doesn't reshuffle from the graveyard. It isn't rare. It's colorless. Implemented properly, these things make it outstanding.

Should be higher then 3.5 Stars as it is devastating in Re-animator and other Graveyard tricks, plus evasive attack and a high Annihilate #..
