Definitely one of the better hideaway lands. Works great with Chandra, though I doubt the game will be going on much longer if she manages to go off.

With the Hideaway ability, do you still have to follow timing restrictions when you play the exiled card? Or do you get to play it regardless of what step or phase you're in, or even if it's your turn?

wow!! just noticed that there is a cycle of 7 cmc rare creatures from this shadowmoor that corrispond to the hideaway lands from lorwyn! just think,
Even though it's an activated ability, it still uses the word "play" in regards to the exiled card. Since you're just playing it without playing it's mana cost, you could argue that it does follow the same timing restrictions. However, comparing to how the cascade mechanic works, you could argue that such restrictions do not apply. I'll check the rules for Hideaway in the comprehensive document.
Since there is no ruling on lands with Hideaway, I suppose you could treat it like Cascade in terms of ignoring timing restrictions. However, since you're still casting the spell as a spell, it can still be countered. I wonder if Hideaway lets you play lands that you exiled while there are still objects on the stack, or if you already played a land that turn.

lol Gleemax costs zilch when a fire servant- doubled Lava Axe hits the field. start having opponent's deck do stuff that he was doing to you, by having Negative effects hit him and Positive effects hit you. obviosly only for casual, as Gleemax is from Unhinged

Absolutely amazing when you're conducting all of your business in one turn!

Great in EDH. Someone is eventually going to get hit for 7 or more damage.
You ignore timing restrictions so if you say played goryos vengence on emrakul with a hid away emrakul you could attack for 15 then after goryos trigger resolved before it passes to your opponents turn cast emrakul off spinerock at the end step untap and take another turn.

I like this in my krenko, mob boss EDH more then Valikut, The Molten Pinnace due to how many non-basics I'm running. First off, you get a card filter effect which is rare in mono red and then you get you get to cheat into play Inferno Titans and massive 12/12 Battle Squadrons (Reckless One and Horde of Boggarts say hi) and btw playing Chandra Ablaze or Karn Liberated for 2 mana late game feels so good. This cycle is pretty much pure gold if you can meet it's conditions to play the spell. And the cool thing is, you don't have to trigger it yourself, if someone else deals 7 to an opponent, and you leave mana open and the knoll untapped, you can get the card out from under it w/o doing anything.
5/5 for edh, other formats ehhh, 7 damage feels a bit win more, but, you prolly have some game ending bomb in your deck worth cheating into play like in a creature heavy version of tron or maybe mosswort bridge in elves. It won't make the cut in most decks, but, it might make the cut for a few.

T1 - Rakdos Cackler T2 - attack for 2, any red 3/3 for 2 (Keldon Marauders for example) T3 - Attack for 5, you can cast up to 2 burn cards to make up the difference in damage, then utilize this to drop another creature or burn

hollowborn barghest for howltooth hollow.
isleback spawn for shelldock isle.
