In general i'd play it above Reckless One since there is a Goblin Warchief that might give your Goblins haste, yet there's no one which provides Goblin War Drums. On top of that, the Horde gets the bonus from any red permanent, while the Reckless One is useful in tribal decks only.

Delicious, delicious vague wordings. Find a super-efficient colerator and these guys can be real brutes, at a very reasonable cost. Even barring that, getting enough red on the field to justify it (you only need 3 since the card itself is a red permanent) is cake.

He can be good, but I probably wouldn't play him unless I had a deck at least somewhat focused on making goblin tokens. In a deck without any token generators he'll probably be between a 2/2 or a 4/4 if he's played on turn 4.

efficiently costed with a nice form of evasion. 4/5 solid creature
if you've never played against this, trust me, his horde can get nasty my friend has it in his goblin-fling deck, and all at once he rushes you, and then chucks everything and you better pray to god he doesn't have vicious shadows out or you have no cards in your hand.
Should be rated higher then reckless one seeing as all the goblin lords give haste anyways. Reckless One having haste is not really relevant.

By the time this card is typically playable (turn 4 in red), chances are one has already played three permanents. That means this is 4/4 for 4 (since it itself is a permanent) and stands to continue growing. I play them in all my goblin decks and in legacy (with Krenko) it is a MONSTER.
