Easy way to keep defenders on the field. You could pack four and actually gain fighters every time you lost a creature. Basic creatures will find it hard to break through this in a dredge deck.
Flying, fear, or trample however...

Reminds me of Field of Souls, and arguably of similar usefulness. It's cheaper, which is good, but the tokens aren't as useful... so yeah.
With Reassembling Skeleton we now have a very interesting non-token creature that can be returned to play easily! :) And if you have something that lets you sacrifice creatures for black mana, then you have one of the many different infinite combos with the skeleton..
Works with Nether Traitor. Use two traitors and some kind of sac-for-mana source like Phyrexian Altar and you have an infinite combo.
In general this card is great for graveyard recursion decks or anything heavy on sacrifice. Persist creatures love this card too. Even non-Green decks can run this by splashing, since there's only one {G} in the mana cost to deal with.
Great card. Subtle and fun.

I personally like using Nether Traitor with a sac engine such as Phyrexian Tower
Add Phyrexian Altar and make sure there is another zombie on your side (hard, right?) And go to town.
