plants a seed for proliferate with other scars cards, but also useful in plenty of other decks. kinda like festering goblin but, more controllable. I like it
In my deck that runs weenies and 4 Quest For The Gravelords, this thing is either a removal option or an ignition switch. This is nothing short of awesome.

hey guys I've been playing magic for a short time so some of the mechanics are still confusing to me if another creatures ability is triggered by sacrificing a creature (fume spitter) will that trigger the first creatures ability along with fume spitters?
@Pie_Harbringer: Here's how it goes. Fume Spitter has an ability where you sacrifice it as a cost (to create the effect of putting a -1/-1 counter on something). So something that triggers when you sacrifice a permanent (Furnace Celebration, for example) will trigger, and since you paid the cost to activate the ability of the Spitter you get the triggered ability and the activated ability. However, don't confuse that with sacrificing the Spitter as a cost for something else's activated ability. (Culling Dais, for example) In order to get the Spitter's ability to put a counter on something, you need to sacrifice it for solely that purpose. On that note @Rikiaz: Sacrificing Fume Spitter to Demon of Death's Gate will not trigger the spitter's ability, so it really isn't that great of a sacrifice.

Nice little card, best one drop for Infect IMO. The best part is the ability to sac it whenever, making it a tidy piece of removal.
