I think I like the original Ravnica art of this beast the most. But, I think the card is too good to care much about it's art, anyway. Just cast it and get to winning the game already >.>

If only this was an Insect Zombie so my Death Barons could buff him up :/
Either way I'll be using him in my zombie reanimation deck. I've got 2 Phyrexian Metamorphs so it'll be nice to have them keep coming back as something else.

So, since the new printing (golgari vs izzet) says "at the beginning of your end step", could you in theory sneak attack a bunch of creatures into play, then put the gleancrawler's ability on the stack, then, sac your creatures to the sneak (which says "at the end of your turn"), then resolve the gleancrawler putting them back into your hand?
I'm reaching here, but thought it would be a really cool thing if so since I just read it and was hoping it would work.
Oh, the shenanignas. With a sac engine, this card can get really crazy. Playing Eternal Witness turn after turn to retrive Dread Return over and over again after sacing my Worldspine Wurm to my Doomgape is just so fun.

Instant speed reanimation is excellent with this guy. Why? Drop Makeshift Mannequin after a board wipe and all of your dudes will return to your hand.
