I could use this to shut down my cousin's Slippery Bogle deck...

no you can't... slippery bogle has troll shroud, which doesn't target it. It's a static ability and is always on as long as it's in play. It never targets it. It's like flying or fear. Creatures with flying or fear don't get bounced simply because they have that ability.
Of course, if you can't deal with a 1/1 in combat or global wiping effects, you still probably have a lot to learn about magic anyway...
I like the combo, high_tide. As for you, allmighty, I think he meant that it would allow him to bounce the boggle which is so frequently targeted by its controller. Cowardice will never target the Boggle, so it'll get bounced by what would have been a beneficial targeting. Regrettably, this card may be a tad slow for stopping that particular strategy. Finally, I want to use this in a casual control deck that uses it with Comet Storm/Fireball, Izzet Chronarch, and lots of mana. I'd probably use Saproling infestation or Rumbling Aftershocks as the win condition...

Uh, don't troll on him, when he made perfect sense. When his opponent targets it with what I'd assume to be auras, they will bounce. Or equipment, or whatever. It turns it into pretty much a vanilla 1/1 for 1. So his opponent's troll shroud deck obviously won't work that well.

I could be wrong, but this card together with Caltrops should cause any creature attacking to be bounced back to thier owner's hand.

Doesn't target the creatures to deal damage, so no.
I personally love this card to protect my creatures.

@allmighty_abacus: I think SaprolingsFTW meant when his opponent pumps the bogle it will bounce it instead. Giving a troll-shroud creature buffs is a decent strategy, as they ordinarily can't be gotten rid of by targeted removal, which is the majority. This card would prevent the creature from being pumped, negating what i bet was the point of the deck.

Use a whole lot of copy cards, like Cryptoplasm, along with Cornered Market. This pretty much means win.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this saves your Phantasmal Bears.

Of all the cards, how does this one not have a Norin flavor quote?

Etb effects every turn...awesome

Doesn't have much synergy with Norin the Wary, strangely.
The reminder text makes me cringe. What if a spell has multiple targets and causes discard?

Built an R/U deck around this card. love combo with any blanket effect card (Izzet overload cards come to mind) and bounce all your opponent's creatures. Great against decks built around pumping creatures with instants too

Weird art, I really don't understand the composition here.

Would I be right in saying this protects illusions like Illusionary Servant? When they're targeted by a spell or ability, it will trigger both effects simultaneously so you just choose for Cowardice's to resolve first, the creature gets bounced and then the sacrifice clause has nothing to do, so it fizzles. Or is this just wishful thinking?
Forget crapping bricks. People obviously don't know the pain of crapping swords...

Smokestack,
This will not have a great effect with overload or other "blanket effects". It sends back creatures that are *target*ed only. Overload cards lose the word "target" when they are overloaded, it is instead replaced with the word "each".
With the right support I could see this card being very nasty though.
Villainous,
Here's the short answer I found: "when dealing with simultaneous triggers the active player orders his/her triggers on the stack, then the non-active players do the same in playing order"
Keep in mind the last things to go on the stack resolve first.
So if you presumably control both the illusion and cowardice then I believe you can save your illusion, but this is kind of out of my depth.

combo's with Boldwyr Intimidator.
fatesticher + freed from the real or pemmin's aura + high tide (possibly on an isochron scepter) to bounce all opposing creatures and lock down the game)
