i'm afraid this is not usable ith megrim...it makes you discard your hand as well good for a mill deck perhaps

If you have Megrim and Kederekt Parasite out, this guy can be an instant-win. If they have four cards in their hand, they take 20 damage if he hits them. Also try playing him with Underworld Dreams.
The more I play my current casual Dragon deck, the more this guy seems appealing. Give him Trample, and you get a somewhat reliable Wheel of Fortune every turn, which is phenomenal for an R or R/G deck that usually goes through its hand rather quickly anyways.

I don't see how this guy is unplayable. He is dragon/wizard, he might be one of the few pure red cards that let you draw, He makes using ramp and putting him out there to send your (bloodghast or demigod of revenge ) in re animators easy I don't see a problem hitting an opponent for 5 than drawling tons of shock effect spells to end the game. Dragon storm him much since you play combo you have no hand he helps refill again. What is really not to love?

Play Dragon Mage. Next turn play Malfegor, Dragon Mage swings unimpeded, you have a full hand again .

Lets say you cheat him into play somehow by turn lets say 3 in aburn deck (how idk its a hypothetical maybe rites and a quicksilver amulet) give him double strike attack with him cast all the burn spells you draw before he hits again, and then he hits again you get more burn spells if you haven't won already then youre playing idk edh or something else with ridiculous life totals.

This is maybe the only Dragon 'serious' Kaalia players will consider anymore.
Johnnies who had to think 'how do we make this EVEN dumber' came up with this tho: Scion of the Ur-Dragon, slide Kaalia to the 99. 5-color, 3-tribe, super broken bonkers deck? ENABLED.
EDIT: Hmm....i was thinking that after Griselbrand and Gisela were spoiled, that AVR would give so many great Angels and Demons, that Dragons would be too hard to find room for. I was wrong though- they've definitely made some competitive worthy Dragons since then, and a little number of Old Dragons still have teeth enough to be worth looking at-- but I do think Dragons are more likely to be outdated by Newer cards than Angels (who will always have Akroma and now Avacyn) or Demons (who will probably always have Reiver Demon and definitely always Griselbrand and Rakdos, the Defiler).
This is the only Dragon I think is unlikely to get outdated anytime soon though, the way other cards look. Big Fat Flyers that Don't Die and Wreck Stuff- that's not hard or uncommon to see designs for either in a single card or in easy combinations- but Card Draw- that's a very different story for Red/White/Black. If you aren't playing something Necropotence-like, you're probably playing this. You might even play both.

See Fiery Temper, Call to the Netherworld, Dark Withering, Gibbering Descent (which also facilitates Madness), Violent Eruption, Reckless Wurm, etc.
This guy could easily be a game-ender in a Madness deck.

Turn 3: Liliana's Caress, swing.
Or swing on turn 2 if you use a Dark Ritual
