Understandable as a vanilla creature. Still, it should have been only one colored mana.

{3}{G} or trample would have been nice. But hey, bad cards are essential.

This guy *** his pants when Kalonian Hydra gets hungry.

This isn't as bad as it looks. A 4/4 beater for 4 is okay in Limited, but you're still going to want Kalonian Tusker instead.

Unconditional 4/4 for 4 at common. Not exactly nifty for pauper, but still we don't get to see it that often. 3/5 from me for that.

Could have been a 5/5 or cost 1GreenGreen, but as it is, on-curve vanilla beater for limited. I know I'd be be happy playing it in that environment.

It surprises me how many are bashing this vanilla 4/4 four-drop.
I'm usually the first one to complain about commons that could have been better, but this seems perfectly fine.

Allso notice how it is strictly better than Erithizon, which was rare.
...admittedly, that's been a while.

But out of all three 4/4 Baloths for 2GreenGreen (yes, we do in fact have that many),
this Rumbling one is strictly worse than the Obstinate one and the Ravenous one, though.

Very strong filler card for limited. Won me a pre-release with this superior early game common creature.

I understand why people aren't all excited about this card, but honestly this card is extremely solid in limited. Green needs stuff like this at common - a 4/4 for 4 with no drawback and fairly easy color-requirement in a 2-color deck is incredibly solid given that some of the most comparable cards are either higher rarity, multi-colored (Rhox Brute), or only have 3-toughness (Crowned Ceratok).

The common-rarity is a huge deal in limited formats - usually allowing a green player access to multiple highly-efficient (if somewhat unexciting) creatures.

A 4/4 for 4? That's cute. Meet my Leatherback Baloth.

I'm a little bit confused about why it couldn't cost 3Green, but it is a common.

You guys can pass me this in M14 limited all day long. Probably not first pickable but defiantly a solid team player that will take you to the end. 4/5 limited card. I don't really understand the point of comparing this to mythic rares and other constructed playable cards.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you not one, but TWO BEARS!

He's a late pick, but not to be underestimated in M14's limited. This guy got a lot of mileage when I got two of him, two Marauding Maulers, and two Advocate of the Beasts in my draft.

Strictly better than Canyon Minotaur?

I don't see why this card gets dissed so much, compared to (Canyon Minotaur, Armored Cancrix, or Pillarfield Ox, it's pretty solid. Yeah, a bit lackluster compared to the other Baloths, but he's not bad by any means.

Two Runeclaw Bears make a Rumbling Baloth, and three make a Kindercatch.

My only dissappointment with wizards at the moment is that they passed up the opportunity for Baloth tribal.

@Syrtees: Baloths are part of the Beast tribe, which has Advocate of the Beast. So you can be disappointed no more.

Sure, there are better picks for the cost at higher rarities, but there are literally no other drawback-free creatures with this much power in green for the cost at common. And it's five cents at my local card store. Five cents.

And the art is sweet. Sweet art.
