After Fog Bank and Kraken Hatchling last core set blue creatures make me want to throw a bucket these stupid overcoasted "defenders" out the window of a Ancient Greek Boat.....
Why does WoC have to torment Blue and Red users in core sets.

Three years ago, I speculated in the comments of the M11 print of this card that a crab tribe was coming. well it hasn't come yet BUT I'M STILL WAITING! LOOKING AT YOU MARK ROSEWATER!

So where does this bring us?
I see wings on the crab. I'm not entirely sure why it can't fly (or at least have reach).
"Oh, but it's a crab! And crab's can't fly!"

Ok, whatever. When M13 came around, I didn't like it as much as M12. I thought M12 was well balanced and had its share of good cards. M13 had a decent amount of good, but a decent amount of poop. But now that I'm looking at M14, I think I judged them harshly.

I mean, we've got this, Siege Mastodon AND Pillarfield Ox in this set? Hot dog!

I think what everyone is forgetting here is CRAB. In my mind, the only better tribe is jellyfish.

it's.....theoretically a good card, if you want to play defensively, and all the good defensive cards are already gone from the pack.

Which means that you either went in not wanting to be aggressive, or all the good aggressive cards are getting eaten and you got passed one good defensive card. Which could happen I suppose. In Limited. Yeah.

Basically, this is so that....

umm....

this is what the person who is going to lose that night picks. And therefore, since there will be a loser, there will also be a winner.

Um.

This could be great after a board-and-hand wiper. Or if your opponent is playing their first game of magic ever. Or if all the other magic cards on the planet mysteriously burst into flames.
Ok, I tried.

Just a bad card, one that nobody would ever have reason to put in a deck, whether they're playing constructed, limited, or kitchen table. The only redeeming quality of this card is that it doesn't have a drawback. I mean, other than being terrible for its cost.

Wow this is crappy even for limited.

Does that art look like a 2 power creature to you?

Next, on the DeVanilla project, where we take overcosted vanilla cards, and inspire them with unique mechanics.

For Armored Cancrix, I'd give the ability...
If you started the game with 60 or more cards in your library, ~ costs 2 less to play.

Vanilla Creatures are a dime a dozen they should have resurrected an old one from early days instead of a M11 reprint
