I can't decide if the arm cannons on this bad boy remind me of Samus or of the Flak Cannon from Unreal Tournament (my favorite weapon in the game).

I really wish Izzet had gotten a few of the really sweat limited cards back in RTR and not now. Still, this is a very nice card.

Sadly, that cost is a bit prohibitive for a Kiln Fiend deck. Might as well just use Wee Dragonauts.

People will tell me that he isn't constructed playable. I will laugh as I kill them with a Weird with arm cannons.

The art alone makes this guy playable.

Toss in evasion, a neat ability, and the fact that he's a weird and somebody is going to give this guy the love he deserves.

Just be sure to cast an odd amount of instants and sorceries...

This and the defender guy are giving me ideas for a Kiln Fiend inspired deck in standard.....

I'm soo hoping for this and Armed // Dangerous (Armed) during prerelease.
Attacking for 1dmg and then turning it into 12 can ruin sombody's day.

Yeah...I'm gonna need to get me a foil one of these.

Steampunk?
Teslapunk?
Magitech?

Some ungodly combination of that and an angel. Wow. Impressive.

"... you MAY switch it's power and toughness." may. may. don't worry about it switching back and forth if you don't want it to, stop him where he needs to be. and he needs to be hitting you in the air for 5.

Best art in the set. I like how much it looks like a UR angel. Seems appropriately Izzet to take something holy and design a scientific abomination around it.

LOVED this guy during the prerelease. The only time he didn't completely wreck face right after I dropped him was when my opponent dropped Ruric Thar, the Unbowed the VERY NEXT TURN. I also pulled a foil version, which is literally the prettiest card I've ever seen. I was already planning on building a UR tempo/Kiln-Fiend-y deck in Standard with Nivix Cyclops, maybe this guy should be included

This, armed // dangerous (armed), and teleportal won me a game at the release.

1/5 flying for 4. great to start with in limited. Giving it options, priceless.

In a RUG deck, a turn 3 Fluxcharger followed by a turn 4 Armed // Dangerous (Armed) & Phytoburst to swing for 20 damage in the air is not too hard to pull off. There is something satisfying about killing an opponent on your first attack.

Fuckscharger. Come on, you all thought it.

This is a Limited powerhouse. A four-drop that puts your opponent on a potential four-turn clock is insane. Hell, this might see just a little Standard play.

Interesting synergy with Simic. They do like having one of those numbers down there big, and in return they can move some goodies over to him with the ever useful Bioshift.

Will someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
If you pump it, with say riot gear, and then cast a spell to switch its power and toughness, its PT will be set to the pumped value, i.e. in the above example it will become a 7/2, except it will still be equipped with riot gear which increases its PT to 8/4.
If you can pump it and repeatedly switch P/T, could you potentially make this thing grow bigger, like with Tree of Redemption?

Hard to destroy when you want it to, and hits hard also when you want it to. I like this concept.

This doesnt work in a Kiln Fiend deck. In those decks you want to cast as many 1 mana costing instants or sorceries as you can, that will just bounce this guy around. You need creature gains +x+0 when casting instant or sorceries.

I want a miniature one of these. It's a good card though.

It is ever-increasingly apparent that the word "may" eludes people. This would absolutely work alongside Kiln Fiend and the like, simply because it says "you MAY switch", not "you MUST switch". Casting mutiple instants and sorcerys could even keep him from being burned away, just cast another after he's targeted by a Shock or whatnot, then switch back to 1/5 mode.

I built a pretty competitive deck based around Fluxcharger, Phytoburst, and Armed/Dangerous.

As a long time fan of Dancing Scimitar, I really appreciate this Fluxcharger! Same stats, but more damage potential...! Great defence and great attack when you need it! You have to keep position until the opponent have enough creature to pass your defence, and the burn everything with Earthquake-like spells to gain massive card advantage. Equip it with Accorder's Shield for max value!
