This has got to be the Johnnyest card in this set.Offhand, I can see this minotaur playing nicely with Animar, Soul of Elements. With the right amount of counters on Animar, you can play the minotaur for , cascade, and then bounce for another go. If you've already got Aluren in play, shenanigans will happen. Good to see Minotaurs getting some love too, and it seems like they could be good contenders for a or tribe (see also Zedruu the Greathearted, Minotaur Illusionist, and Raka Disciple). Finally, the flavor is excellent too. Looks like the Naya minotaurs have been learning a few tricks from Esper.

I love LOVE all the flavor bleed they're running in Planechase 2012, specifically how the shards of alara are blending together.
@Manaburnwasgood: Didgeridoo is a good way of wasting what really makes this card good as you wouldn't get its cascade ability, since cascade specifically reads "when you cast this spell" and Didgeridoo doesn't cast spells, it puts them into play, which is different.

Trygon_Predator, E-HS (sounds like a high school) plays well with Animar, but Animar does not affect Aluren's check for cmc:
10/4/2004 Aluren checks the actual printed cost on the creature card, and is not affected by things which allow you to cast the spell for less
You really want to have fun with this guy and Animar, get your Dream Halls out and proceed to bounce, Cascade, bounce, Cascade (Then do it again.)

rofl this guy is such a goofball. but you know you love it
while you enjoy dumping your opponents lands in their graves for 1 mana, why not play anything on top of your deck cmc 5 down for 2 mana (:

I just love how happy and excited he looks. He knows he's about to cause some chaos. It's great they brought back cascade in this set, really fun mechanic.

@Sarroth
Concerning Etherium-Horn Sorcerer and Didgeridoo, I think the errata really screwed up the original intention of the artifact. "...As though it were just summoned" implies that the Minotaur the caster is putting into play should be treated as though it were just cast. Aether Storm should've prevented the Didgeridoo's effect (whether that's how it was judged back then or not). For some odd reason, the errata just totally gutted one half of this card for no reason whatsoever.
That being said, you're right. Whoever's responsible for errata should be a tad more careful.

At first I thought "Wait, what? I don't get it. This looks like a junk common you'd not want to play in any kind of format. Being a Minotaur Wizard with etherium horns makes him flavorwise incredibly awesome, but that wouldn't make it a rare card or give it a community rating of roughly 4.0 ... Did i miss something?" Then i realized: I did.
Cascade.
Well, this makes this guy all of a sudden a whole lot more interesting!

@Mode I did pretty much the same thing. 3/6 for 6? Pay 3 to return to my hand!? And then a whole mess of flavor text I was completely uninterested in reading.
But wait... Wut's dat wittle bitty word bafor all that?

As I said on Lord of Shatterskull Pass this mino is saved by not being too broken with the Didgeridoo: Using the Didgeridoo does not proc the cascade so you are getting a (damn good) 3/6 for 4 and slight card disadvantage (assuming you only use the didger once, you use two cards to put it out. Yeah, I know this is flawed logic in that you want to use the didgeridoo as much as possible.). It is sort of a pity that a card all the way from homelands is holding back such a cool tribe as minos. I hope we see more ways to work around it in the future!

@nirvava
the "as though it were just summoned" clause on Didgeridoo's printed text refers to the fact that the Minotaur is summoning sick which needed to be clarified when the card was first printed in homelands. This was dropped because this type of interaction has become more common. Didgeridoo never caused the Minotaur to be cast. a fact made clear in the original text by the phrase "put it directly into play" showing the Minotaur it self never goes on the stack.
So the errata text is just a simplification of the original text and in no way "screwed up the original intention of the artifact"

The Johnny in me absolutely loves this guy. It's even in my favorite guild's colors!
The Vorthos in me is very sad that people miss the second half of this card because they think it's "just flavor text".
