Watchwolf! I like how they turned it into a token for populate. Now the only problem with this is that your "Watchwolf" can now be countered by Negate, which is a thing I see quite often where I play. That aside, this is still pretty awesome and shall justify my need to make a Selesnya deck.

Shame the Centaur isn't Green and White. My Sister's Tolsmir Deck will be sad.

Works with Talrand, Sky summoner, which combos even harder when you include Selesnya Charm, things like Cackling Counterpart and even counterspells that fuel Talrand. Basically, putting a token into play puts another token into play. Then populate whichever one suits your fancy. Intangible Virtue and Trostani, Selesnya's Voice make for 3/3 flying drakes and 4/4 centaurs with vigilance, and you gain more life when each comes into play.

Then throw in the obvious Parallel Lives and you get real overwhelming real quick.

Sometimes it's easier to recur a creature than a spell in W/G, but populate is the theme that beats the Wolf.

And I love centaur :)

Watchcentaur. It's only green, but it's a 3/3 for 2 that can be populated. Good deal.

A fitting tribute to the Wolf.

Well, tis as close to a Watchwolf reprint as we could really ask for, and it plays nicely with populate cards.

It is good that there are two of these in the Selesnya intro pack. It's so good!

Decent. 3/3 for two mana for populate is good. Though a creature card could be reanimated. Hm..

A 3/3 centaur token on turn 2 can be very dangerous when played by a pro like me.

@Majinara Yeah, as a creature it could be reanimated, but in Bant, this can be Snapcastered back :D

Almost a functional reprint of Watchwolf, but it's a centaur instead. Populate can go nuts.

Love the art, though I wish the RTR centaur tokens matched the artwork of the card. Nevertheless, put this down on turn 2, turn 3 Rancor or Intangible Virtue and you're sitting pretty.

An elegant piece of design really, as is a lot of this set.

Good for populate, bad against bounce. Excellent card nonetheless.

A 1/1 elf token on turn 1 can block a this dude when played by a novice like me.

Fun! I think it should be a Centaur soldier. The centaur helps give a diversity of tokens and therefor some protection against Detention Sphere and Sever the Bloodline.

Aggressively costed? Check.

Populate fodder? Check.

Terese Nielsen artwork? Check.

Call of the Conclave, you're the bee's knees.

Excellent in limited and standard. Two mana for a 3/3 with the benefits of being a token? Token decks are a lot stronger now that Ratchet Bomb is out of standard, previously they were too easily cleared off the table, now they can populate like mad. There's easily room for four of these in a standard deck and are a worthy early pick in draft. Love it.

The fact that this has 3.5 stars while Watchwolf has 4.5 stars clearly means that the magic community is full of morons

Anyone see a resemblance to Vampiric Spirit?

since it is not specified on the card to whose control the creature enters the battlefield, does that mean that the owner of the card gets to choose which side the creature is placed?

@kamelyan: The controller of the ability gets the token unless stated otherwise. You can't choose to give it to another player.

Have you noticed all the centaurs in this set are 3/3?

I really wish it made wolf tokens, I mean there is wolf tribal in standard now. I guess it would be too blatant a ripoff of watchwolf, but come on, who are we kidding here?

I love this card, 2 drop for a 3/3, I run four of these in my aura deck.

I actually like the fact that the token this makes it green, and not green and white. Seems like creatures with protection from white are more common than creatures with protection from green, and this token's been a lifesaver against Knight of Infamy.

I wish it was a common so I could play it in Pauper.

Why do they put so many neat cards at Uncommon, anyways? This could have been a common, for all the attention it got.

This is a fun card. Not only are you getting a Hill Giant for the price of anGrizzly Bears, but it's populatable.
