Why am I just now seeing this card? A green treasure mage for creatures? So happy this exists!

It belongs in EDH, if anywhere.

Almost an auto-include in any EDH with green.

Tutors Primeval Titan in my EDH... how is it not great? :)

I guess you could get and cycle a Krosan Tusker, to get a 1/1, a basic land in hand, and draw a card for and only one card. It is just too expensive though.

This card is extremely underrated.

Works beautifully in my Riku of Two Reflections deck. Grab my Deadeye Navigator, flicker this guy a few times, grab more threats. Ain't it convenient that he came in the same package?
@Narim: It's not great because Primeval Titan is banned in EDH according to the official deckbuilding policy. Of course, if your playgroup is fine with it, that's okay, but it's still important to respect banlists as they help balance the game.
Regarding the card itself, most green tutors look for things the turn they come into play (e.g. Chord of Calling, Green Sun's Zenith) and as a result cost more to cast than the creature they tutor for. If you're fine spending a turn to cast this, you do get to cast your guys on-curve (or sooner, with ramp). As such, it ends up being pretty versatile.
Better in EDH since the first few turns are often slow. Can also often tutor up your general if it got Condemned, which is great.

To make my elf deck consistent I need 8 tutors that can fetch Craterhoof Behemoth and/or Terastodon. I can't afford a play set of Natural Order, so I use this guy as a substitute.

One of my all-time favorites in green casual decks. Here are some good targets:
1) Primeval Titan if you're using a deck with powerful lands. Fierce Empath typically always tutors for Primeval Titan in my Ezuri, Renegade Leader French EDH deck, where Primeval Titan is legal. Additionally, Empath is an Elf, so he fits great in Elf EDH decks to tutor for your big non-Elf fatties. 2) Regal Force, for card draw. 3) Woodfall Primus, for getting rid of specific annoying permanents (like Ensnaring Bridge, for example). 4) Steel Hellkite, for more general reusable removal and blocking flyers, two things monogreen has a hard time with. 5) Primalcrux, a monogreen casual favorite. If you run 4 of the Empath(which I do), you're effectively running 8 Primalcruxes. 6) Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. I use Fierce Empath in my Cascade Hypergenesis deck just so I can make sure to tutor for Emrakul or one of my other fatties before I cascade into Hypergenesis.

It's a perfectly fine card in EDH. Most fair tutors are 3 mana and have specific restrictions (fabricate, idyllic tutor, etc), which is why demonic tutor is insane, green sun's zenith is a little too good, and eladamri's call is in literally every GW deck. Getting a 1/1 for your troubles is better than nothing, since it's sacrifice fodder and can chump block.

As of today, there are 1041 creatures this guy can tutor up for you.... so he's pretty awesome.
